My Strange Dream

In Alex's dream, he came to a mysterious place. It was a place he had never seen before in his life. The gray ground stretches as far as the eye can see. Strange mountains that resemble monster teeth. The rainbow-colored northern lights sway along the peculiar mountain. The purple sky is covered with millions of stars. A cold wind blew from the mountain pass that he could feel that it was like the breath of something. There is nothing but emptiness here.

He had never dreamed of seeing anything that was this fantasy before. Usually, he dreams that he is going on a date with a girl he likes or driving a luxury sports car on the streets. Sometimes he would dream of Mr. Kovac, his imaginary friend. They tend to party hard in their dreams and bring some random girls at home. But this time, it was beyond imagination than the fantasy novels he had read in high school. It was something new for him.

"Umm...is anyone there?"

He asked stupid questions hoping someone would answer. He didn't mean to do that. But it seems that dreams are in control of every action that takes place. His echo echoed in the distance. The only answer he got was silence and the gust of wind.

He tried to explore the surrounding area. At that moment, he could feel his feet stepping on something on the ground. He lifted his foot and found that there was something buried in the gray soil. He bent down to look and brushed off the soil with his hands. It's a green circle pendant the size of a penny coin. It's a weird symbolic pendant imprinted with the shape of an hourglass. He turned it around and couldn't find any further clues.

"What is this?"

When he stood up, he was shocked at what was in front of him right now. Hundreds of people were standing and staring at him with the same eyes. The more he noticed, the more shocked he was. Those people were him. But their appearances are different for each person. Some people look friendly and nice. But some people have a wicked and unreliable look.

"W-Why are there so many hundreds of me?! What the hell is this?"

He felt uncomfortable being stared at by hundreds of pairs of eyes. Although the air in his dreams was cold, his sweat flowed like a river. Those people didn't say anything to him. They just stood there staring like a wax figure.

"Who the hell are you guys?!"

He asked those people. But there was no answer from anyone's mouth.

At that moment, something he didn't expect happened. A person wearing a black cloak jumped out from the crowd. In that guy's hand was a dagger. A sharp blade flew straight at Alex without him even realizing it.

"Augh!"

A knife was stabbed into Alex's stomach. Blood slowly seeped through his shirt. He felt real pain. He slowly raised his head to look at the mysterious figure in front of him. Now he couldn't see this guy's real face. Because this guy wears a hoodie to cover his face. But what he could clearly notice right now was the black-cloaked right hand, besides having a knife in his hand. He was also wearing an emerald green ring glowing with strange insignia. When he looked carefully again, he found that the ring in his hand was carved like an hourglass.

"W-Why? Who are you? Why are you doing this?"

He asked the mystery man in a painful tone. He was also confused by the events that were passing by quickly.

"I'm sorry, Alex. I'm sorry..."

The mysterious man murmured in the shadow of the black hood. His tone of voice seemed hopeless and was mixed with painful regret.

"H-Huh? What..."

Alex was very familiar with the mysterious man's voice. Although he couldn't hear it clearly, he knew it was the voice of someone he knew.

It was then that the mysterious man revealed his true identity. Alex was stunned when the man pulled the hood out of his head. It was Ivan. One of his best friends and childhood friends. Half of his face had burned. The right eye near the burn is completely blind. His face was filled with sorrow and despair.

"Ivan...Why?!"

"Because you are the source of all things. You're the one who made my universe collapse. Lesley is dead. Josh, too. Ryan tried to stop you but he was unsuccessful. San Vallojse had to become a gigantic ruined. The only way to end this is I have to kill you!"

"Wait...I don't understand what the hell are you talking about?! I didn't do anything."

"You did...with my universe."

"Ivan..."

"I'm here to stop your madness. Goodbye, my friend."
