Inside a station on the rocky landscape, the mysterious man dressed like a sea captain was on the third level, typing a message on the interface. He pressed something on the interface and a 'ding' sound went off, followed by a box containing text in capitals- MESSAGE SENT. The man then said, "Alright. Well, let's hope they see it before it's too late." With that, he jumped out of the station down to ground below. He landed in a crouch, then sprung up like a tightly coiled spring, not hurt despite the height from which he jumped. He began walking in the direction of where all the monsters were gathered. A sword suddenly appeared in his right hand, a cutlass that was almost completely see-through, and seemed to shimmer and ripple, as though it was made of glass.Or water. ....Elisa had just entered the third level when the interface popped up, with a message written on it in capital letters: TWO CHILDREN HAVE ARRIVED. ONE IS IN SECTOR 7, REGION 2, AND THE OTHER IS IN SECTOR 3. FIN
Wendy stood inside the generator building, in front of the door that contained the machine. She had been so excited to see what was beyond, and now that she was actually here, she thought that she might burst from all the excitement. But, there was something accompanying the excitement; the guilt and worry of causing trouble. She didn't want to make trouble for anyone, especially her family. But she had wanted to see the machine her uncle told her about so badly that, after making sure that nobody was around (and, therefore, couldn't catch her), she worked up the courage to finally come here. Of course, now that she was here, she realised that it would have better if she had done this during the weekend, but she had been busy yesterday, when she had originally to go here, and the day before that (when she went to town with the Brown twins, who were hanging out with a second former), and frankly, she COULDN'T wait any longer! This was very risky. She knew that. So, better not to think
A creature was wandering in the meadow. It was small, about the size of a kitten, but was the complete opposite of cute. It resembled an insect, but was clearly a vertebrate, an almost hairless mammal of some kind. It had a long, needle-like snout, a wide, circular mouth with three rows of sharp teeth, violet eyes (no pupils), a hairy neck and back, and a long tail that split into two points at the end. Its six legs almost looked like tentacles, having two elbows in each limb instead of one, double jointed shoulders, seven tiny digits on each paw that looked like partially blown-up balloons, and wrinkly, rubbery skin. Its face, chest and tail were puffed out (like it was chubby), while its abdomen was very slim. The creature looked as though it came from out of this world (and maybe it did).It crawled (there was no other way to describe the way it moved) towards a station, moving as fast as a horse. When it reached the station, it climbed up on one of the pillars, moving straight to
A whirring sound was the first thing she heard before opening her eyes. The opened doors of the metal wardrobe was the first thing she saw. She waited for a moment, blinking her eyes and twitching her fingers, testing to see how disoriented she was from the experience. However, to her surprise, aside from a slight dizziness, she was completely fine! There were no lingering effects, no feelings of nausea, or being drained of all energy. She was able to move normally.Elisa stepped out of the wardrobe, and into the room, looking around as she did. OK, maybe there was a lingering effect, if only in her eyes. She half expected to see the sunny meadow or the bright hillside. In fact, she had to blink a few times more to get readjusted to reality. "Hello?".Hearing somebody speak almost made her jump out of her own skin. She looked around wildly, before setting her eyes on the machine. The screens have all come to life, the large screen showing a map of some kind, while the small screen in
The large bird stood close to the cave entrance, its large black eyes surveying the area for its eye. Although it could see the cave entrance, it couldn't see much in the cave itself, since its eyes were heavily reliant on light and it could barely see in the dark. If Elisa had known this fact, she wouldn't have been so cautious as she was being right now. Poking her head slowly out the side of the rock she was hiding behind, instead of looking over it, she peeked to see if the bird had left yet. Although she saw that it was still by the cave entrance, she found herself fascinated in spite of the situation (there was also a good amount of terror mixed in). The bird was huge, almost as tall as a full grown human being. It had a long, thin neck like a vulture, a head resembling an eagle, huge red talons, and long wings which a long, sickle clawed finger at the tip. Its feathers were a dull grey with shades of brow and a few small golden spots, with snow-white under-feathers. The bird l
Joan marched up the mountain, an angry expression on her face. As she made her way up, Elisa reluctantly came out from behind the boulder she had tried to hide behind. She stood out in the open, waiting for Joan to reach her (which didn't take long). When Joan finally came face-to-face with her, Elisa smiled sheepishly, saying, "Hi, Joan. It looks like I finally found you." Joan, however, was in no mood for jokes, and immediately launched into a long angry rant about all the trouble she went through to get here, to find Elisa, to find a way back to the school. She went on and on and on, never stopping to catch her breath, letting out all of the frustration she carried while enduring this predicament. After five minutes, she finally stopped, having exhausted her feelings of anger for the moment. As she caught her breath, Elisa, who had stood still while she took on the full force of Joan's wrathful speech, now spoke. "That sounds terrible. Do you feel better now.", she said. Before Jo
The interface showed a map of Sector 5 on its screen, as well as parts of the five sectors surrounding it, just like the interface in Sector 3. Elisa looked at the screen, trying to figure out exactly where she was. After analysing it for a few seconds, she saw that she was in one of the northern regions of Sector 5. At least, she thought it was north. Hard to say when she didn't know where north was, or any of the cardinal directions in general. There were no clues, no signs to guide her on that. She couldn't tell whether she was heading north, south, east or west. Even if she saw something like snow, that doesn't mean that she's close to the north or south poles; for all she knew, it could mean that it was winter, or in this case, that she was at a high altitude. Looking at the interface, she saw that at the right-hand side of the screen there were options to enhance the map. There was a zoom in and zoom out feature, an option to display the environment, another to display the flor
Elisa woke up to find herself in a strange place. She was lying on her back, looking up at a clear blue sky with a bright sun beaming down at her. When she got up, she realised that she was in some sort of flowery meadow, with a tall, swirling structure a few metres away on her left. The meadow seemed to go on for miles and miles, covered in tall grass and a variety of different flowers; sunflowers, roses, poppies, daisies, tulips, daffodils, marigolds, lilies, buttercups, bluebells, etc. Looking ahead of her, she could see that far off into the distance, the meadow slowly turned into a hilly landscape. There was a small cluster of trees, about six hundred metres behind her, all small and oddly shaped. Other than that, all she could see around her was just the flat, flowery meadow, with a few more of those tall swirling structures scattered across the land, each within an estimated eight hundred metre distance from each other (that's a ten minute walk). After analysing her surroundi
