Chapter 21: Hunted

Joan marched up the mountain, an angry expression on her face. As she made her way up, Elisa reluctantly came out from behind the boulder she had tried to hide behind. She stood out in the open, waiting for Joan to reach her (which didn't take long). When Joan finally came face-to-face with her, Elisa smiled sheepishly, saying, "Hi, Joan. It looks like I finally found you." Joan, however, was in no mood for jokes, and immediately launched into a long angry rant about all the trouble she went through to get here, to find Elisa, to find a way back to the school. She went on and on and on, never stopping to catch her breath, letting out all of the frustration she carried while enduring this predicament.

After five minutes, she finally stopped, having exhausted her feelings of anger for the moment. As she caught her breath, Elisa, who had stood still while she took on the full force of Joan's wrathful speech, now spoke. "That sounds terrible. Do you feel better now.", she said. Before Jo
