Chapter 14 Quest Progress

[Still this many, Mr. Zane]

Asmodeus looked irritated.

[12 tails, my Lord]

Caim replied to Asmodeus' words in his stealth mode. Only Zane and Asmodeus who are in a party can see the stealth mode because Caim allows it.

Normal Antlerzard had the body size of an adult Velociraptor, while the monsters Zane and his summons killed their leaders and monsters whose bodies had grown too much.

The twelve Antlerzard bared their teeth as they approached Zane.

[Let us take care of the rest. Mr. Zane]

But Zane seemed to forbid it.

"You two protect the villagers. Don't let any of them touch me."

Zane gave off his killing aura.

But instead, he directed it at the villagers, but at the remaining Antlezard.

'Krrr—!"

Zane spoke again, he approached the monsters. "Be bow down to me."

"Kuu—"

The Antlerzard were frightened and cowered at Zane's aura. The people that watching Zane saw him as a monster

W-what is that?

[I knew he wasn't normal when he said that he killed the monster]

[Is he human?]

[A human overpowering a monster with his aura? It was impossible.]

[Just one of those Antlerzard could turn the village into nothing. But, that man can tame them with his aura alone]

[W-why did you show them to us?]

[t couldn't be…]

Disbelief was in their eyes. They thought that Zane might throw them to feed the Antlerzard.

The fear made them unable to think.

"What are you guys thinking of?"

Zane shook his head and spoke while looking at those people.

"After I tame them, you guys will train them later. It will come in handy"

[What?]

Disbelief still enveloped the villagers' feelings.

They were still unsure of what they heard just now.

"What do you mean by, "training them"?"

Zane started explaining to them while the villagers were still confused

"I have explained to you that the habits of Antlerzard are that they sleep soundly after meals and do not prey on the one who feeds them."

[Right, then?]

"Those habits are for the giants Antlerzard. Even though they have similar habits, the normal Antlerzard has one more habit"

[Impossible]

The villagers can immediately draw conclusions from the sentences that came out of Zane's mouth.

"Just as you guys think. If you give food to normal Antlerzards, you will also be considered their master. "

So they can train the Antlerzard.

That's what Zane suggested.

In this place, monsters were evil and predators of humans.

Taming monsters is nonsense.

[Taming these guys… means that we would once again…]

"Why did you think that its food has to be human?"

[What?]

"Isn't there a lot of food outside your village?"

[Outside the village?]

They showed faces that could not comprehend. Zane nodded his head towards the villager.

"They eat humans, here. But there's no rule that they can't eat other monsters."

[A-are you suggesting feeding them the monsters outside the village?]

[It's impossible! How can we…]

"Who asked you to catch those monsters?"

Asmo, who had been carrying a big bag, started to take something from the bag.

He gave Giant Antlerzard meat to the adult male residents.

[…What is this?]

"Feed the Antlerzards in front of you with this"

Even though at first they looked afraid of the monster, they were more afraid of the killing aura that was still being deliberately emitted by Zane.

The expressions on the faces of the residents who were giving meat to the normal Antlerzard in front of them suddenly changed.

Their fears disappeared.

"Now each of you can ride on their shoulders"

[Riding?]

[You're not wrong, are you?]

Some of the other residents obeyed Zane's orders. Uniquely, the Antlerzards turned tame when some of the humans rode on their bodies.

The dungeon on this second floor gave extremely hard missions.

This dungeon could be said to have the theme of endless missions.

But asking to rescue the village with no clear boundaries is not a problem for Zane.

However, Zane had something in his head.

What if he doesn't know about the monster? What happens if he trusts the village head? Maybe he would be stuck in this dungeon forever.

[Quest Progress: 50%]

[You have successfully killed the giant Antlerzard and eliminated The Village Head]

[Will you complete the quest?]

These were the messages that appeared in his mind.

It didn't say that this dungeon had ended but instead gave him a choice to end it himself.

He had never encountered these types of dungeons in his past life.

"So, dealing with the village head and the Antlerzard is the minimum requirement for clearing this dungeon"

However, Zane's mind was still a mess.

He has not solved the problems in the village. When the village has lost its village head, and the monster that is considered to be their guardian Zane kills them.

Maybe if he left this dungeon now, this village would be gone.

Actually, that's not a problem for Zane. However, his morale fluctuated. He could not just let go because he had done something to this village.

.From now on, Zane has to find a way to protect the village and increase his level of accomplishment.

It would have been impossible to clear the mission without knowledge of the Antlerzard habits.

Zane came to that conclusion.

The grade S dungeon did not just require someone's strength.

As the dungeon grade got harder, they required something more.

it was the evening. Blue sky brought total darkness to the sky. Snow fell again, cold air began to blow again.

Since the return of the Antlerzards to the village. They were considered horses capable of carrying supplies and also as animals that could help with hunting.

In the mornings and afternoons, Zane, his team, and the Antlerzard tamers would head into the forest to hunt monsters.

They also took some of the villagers out to look for food and the Antlerzard will be used as security.

It's been one month since Zane entered the village.

Caim stands guard at the village border, while Asmo has the job of teaching the villagers the basics of fighting.

At night, there are some trained villagers standing guard with Antlerzard to prevent monsters from entering their village.

Zane also taught them how to grow crops according to the climate in their village, how to get food, and hunt, and taught the villagers to make a fort to protect their village.

"It's been a while since I've done babysitting."

Zane muttered after stepping out of the village.

At the same time, another notification sounded in his head.

[Quest Progress: 80%]

[You have succeeded in making the villagers independent and the village safer]

[Will you complete the quest?]
