Chapter 1 : The Big Shock

"Hey! Pass the ball to me." The blond young man shouted while waving his hand. The sweat on the body flows from head to toe. Wetting the floor on each footing simultaneously bears witness to the best young athletes.

His friend responded to the call and immediately fed the ball to the young man. Catching both hands while jumping, the landing is quite forced when he feels his legs are so painful if used. But the young man is not a figure born as a 'soft bone' human being.

Being blessed with talent and balanced hard work yields results that exceed 'expectations'. Although he sprained his foot a bit, the young man continued to carry the ball until it passed several players in 3 moves. Even enemy players should respect him as the toughest opponent as long as they decide as a professional basketball players.

The crowd above the stands kept cheering his name from the beginning of the game until the final seconds. No matter who is the hero in this match, the young man deserves to be named the best player and get a high-price offer after this match is over.

All those hopes were ingrained in his mind and promised himself to score the final points before getting the title. Unfortunately, when the player was about to enter the ball into the hoop, the enemy player had one player who was very cunning. He jumped when the young man was still standing under him. With both hands deliberately punching both eyes at the same time.

The young man lost control of the ball and realized himself to be falling in seconds. But his sprained foot was unreliable at a crucial moment. Both eyes were closed tightly and his balance faltered, resulting in a collision right on his head with the slippery floor. He could feel excruciating pain when the blood inside his head was gushing more than his sweat.

The game was temporarily dismissed by the referee. The opposing player who punched him was forced to foul and was kicked out of the game. One by one his teammates approached the scheming man and hit him in turn. Not stopping there, the audience who saw the most * thing in their lives immediately got off the spot and hit all the opposing players. A huge commotion broke out within seconds and forced hundreds of security personnel to quell the situation.

But neither of them noticed the state of the young man. He still felt his head ooze warm blood, plus a few kicks from various people that further added to the wounds in other parts. When his life was filled with darkness, he saw a glimmer of hope, or rather, someone he loved deeply who was willing to run and hit dozens of people around him when his body had no strength.

"M... Mom. I can see you." The young man muttered silently in his heart. He knew in this world only his mother always loved him when he was in a downturn or in a fiery state. Seeing that his mother was overwhelmed to reach his hand, the young man was forced to get up and approached the mother who had run out of strength.

"Don't worry, mom. You don't deserve to cry over this son of yours. I'm just a loser even though they always praise me when I'm on the field." The young man did not want to lose his family for the umpteenth time after an accident that happened to his family.

Only the mother he has in this world will never let her leave this world before he makes his mother happy. He stepped foot with a very small look. He was born with a normal body condition and did not want to live with one of the deformed bodies.

Her mother smiled back when she saw that her beloved child still loved her very much and slightly forced her already fragile body a little to get into his arms. The two loved each other and now they are in a warm and loving embrace.

"I know you can definitely boast of your mother, son. Never think of yourself as a loser when you've become everything to me."

"Winkler is not like that, mom. It's still too soon to be happy before winning this game and now those who support me are actually stepping on me."

"Stop that nonsense of yours, son. For now, you have to cover that wound on your head. I won't hold it because of mom..."

"Yes, there is no need to explain anymore. Let's get out of here."

The young man named Winkler broke through and pushed away everyone who was blocking their way out. At first, his mother asked him for treatment at the hospital but Winkler said this was just a small wound and would heal if it was covered with bandages on his head. The mother did not want to force her decision and appreciated Winkler's wishes that the mother wanted to take care of.

When they got home, Winkler decided to go to the bathroom first to clean up on his head. He knew the wound on his head but didn't dare to hold it forcefully. Slowly he cleans with fine caresses with cold running water. The stinging caused by the wound actually affected his brain so that he could feel that his head would be destroyed if he pressed the wound more than this.

Meanwhile, his mother by the door watched Winkler with both happy and sad faces. They both don't want to look weak in the eyes of their loved ones. But this time Winkler lost and his mother was actually very proud of his achievements so far.

"After you dry your head, I will treat you and make a lot of dinners. I know you must be hungry after going through the previous game." Having said that, the mother took the medical kit to her room while waiting for Winkler.

Obeying all his mother's words, Winkler headed to the family room and was ready for treatment.

"It's probably going to hurt. But I believe you can bear it." Winkler nodded.

A few minutes after being treated, Winkler could feel his head getting very strong pressure but he didn't feel the symptoms of dizziness he experienced during the drive home.

"Now you take a shower. I'm going to prepare dinner."

Winkler headed for the bathroom with a sticky and smelly body. Now he is soaking in a warm bathtub while calming his body and brain after experiencing a mentally stressful event. His whole body sank and closed his eyes while imagining what happened in the stadium just now. Leaving them all without caring about anyone, including his teammates. Winkler doesn't feel guilty while those closest to him don't care when he needs help.

As his mind continued to be imagined the riot, Winkler could feel a violent trepidation from outside for 5 seconds, shocking his body when it was almost calm. He raised his head and observed the events around him. Surprisingly, there was nothing suspicious as soon as Winkler came out of the bathtub. When he called his mother's name in a loud voice, he didn't even get an answer for the first time.
