Chapter 44
Laura walked into her office and collapsed on her seat. She hung down her head, trying to forget a that had happened in the meeting at the conference room. She heard a knock on the door and lifted up her head to see her father, Frank walked in with a smile.

"Hey, madam. What's with the sas expression on my daughter's face?" Frank asked, humorously as he walked up to her desk.

"Dad, I'm fine," Laura simply said, tucking her hair in the back of her ears. Frank gave her a doubtful look. "Father, believe me, I'm certainly okay," Laura said, trying to make her father believe her instead of worrying about her.

"Okay, then. I hope you don't think much about everything and just forget what your sisters, brothers and infact what every single person uttered in the conference room. Forget about it all, Laura," Frank said. Laura faked a smile and nodded.

"Okay. I'm going back to my working place. See you later at home, dear," Frank said and waved at Laura then headed to the door. He pulled the
