Joseph didn't quite know what to do, he normally never spoke like that to anyone, even those people he didn't like. But the absolute hatred he felt from inside made him less than polite with the devil, which no one really minded.

Joseph was just a little nervous that it might cause Bozuel to target him more agressively, but then he rememberd that with his SSS grade blessing he was undoubtedly the primary target for devil kind everywhere, so pissing off one devil probably wouldn't make much of a differance. 

After a few moments Marcus came over to meet him, wanting to talk with him about his blessing and maybe offer a bit of advise that could be very helpful in the beginning stages. But he didn't get the chance because almost as soon as the devils gate was gone another system announcement played in everyones mind.

'Ding!'

'Congratulations! you have successfuly cleared the emergency quest 'Devils Envoy' all participants will receive a one time gift pack of their grade to be received upon return to their individual territory's.

Note: with the acceleration of the devils attacks against humanity, the typical 24 hour waiting period for new blessed will be waived. All new blessed will be transported to their territories in 60 seconds. Remember be prepared.'

This was quite the bit of news for everyone, they were excited about the rewards but were concerned as to exactly how much the attacks have accelerated. Some of them were barely holding on as it is, but life is cruel like that. It doesn't care if your ready or strong, you either sink or swim, and a good portion of those here felt like they were on the sinking part of that boat.

None of them had too much time to think about things though, as with the accelerated attacks the rest/preparation period between them was shortened significantly. Meaning they all had things that required their attention, so as much as Marcus wanted to help he didn't have the time to spare because his territory was one of the closest to the defense line and therefore one of the first to be attacked. 

60 seconds went by in a flash, and while Joseph was nervous about what he would be facing in the near future he was also really looking forward to it. "Finally!" he thought, "I'm going to do the best I can and make my kingdom the greatest kingdom of all!" 

The reality that his blessing was the most powerful ever recorded had slightly altered the way Joseph thought about things. Originally he only wanted to be respected and left mostly alone, now he wanted to be the greatest champion humanity has ever seen. And he had the right blessing to do it with, it would just take a lot of time and hard work. Which he was totally okay with, "Nothing worth having is ever easy to obtain." he mused to himself as the count down ran through its final seconds.

Once the count reached zero a bright light envelouped Joseph blocking his vision, and making him feel as though he was floating. A few seconds passed and a white gateway leading to who knows where opened above him. Once it opened he was dragged forcefully through it during which time he closed his eyes trying to fight the urge to vomit. A few seconds later he found himself standing on solid ground again, waiting for the dizziness to pass while he took stock of his situation.

He was standing in the middle of what looked to be verdant grass lands. The land looked lush and green with sparce trees dotting the landscape while he could see a few roling hills in the distance. Turning around he noticed a small wooden cottage sitting behind him, it seemed to be made in the typical log cabin style with a slanted roof and wooden shingles. It was unpainted so the true beauty of the wood used in its construction could be seen. The door however looked a little out of place as carved upon it was the figure of an bloody angel, wings dripping while the sword was held infront the point upwards so the blade crossed in front of their face, both eyes could be seen on either side of the blade, striking a truly dominant pose.

Joseph could feel the pressure radiating from this image but he didn't feel uncomfortable at all, instead he felt like it was both familiar and welcoming to him, which made sense given his bloodline. As he was looking at the cabin another notification rang in his mind.

'Ding!'

'Welcome! to your territory, the details of your new realm will be available after system integration. Please stand by while the new system interface downloads.'

Joseph felt a slight stinging pain in his mind as the system integrated with him, he knew this was coming so he wasnt surprised about it, but it was still unpleasent, like a dozen ants biting him over and over.

It only took a few moments for the system to d******d after which he heard a differant voice than was normal for the world system.

'Ding!'

'Congratulations and welcome to your new realm!' The new femenine voice sounded in his mind, he could almost feel the excitment in her tone, which was strange as the world system voice was always monotone in its deliveries. 'I am your personal system companion, here to assist you in navigating the trials that come your way.'

Joseph was suprised to say the least, he had never heard of the system becoming individual before. Then he rememberd that the system did mention something about an update but he thought it would take 24 hours. He didn't really care though as he had bigger problems to think about.

"Alright system," he began, "What can you tell me about my realm and the best way to go about strengthening it?" He wanted to start immediately, he still rememberd the warning that was given, and he wasn't one to ignore such things.

Joseph was slightly overwhelmed, there was a lot more to running a kingdom than he realized. He had read all about it in school but the reality hit him different, and he now wondered if he would be able to do the job well enough.

His mind was flooded with ideas about all the things he needed to do, and wanted to do to make his realm strong enough to survive, when he was interupted by the system reminding him of something important he forgot.

'Ding!'

'Please don't worry so much host, you have some gifts here that should help you out tremendously.'

"Oh yea! I almost totally forgot about that." Joseph shook his head at his own forgetfulness. "It won't do if im to stressed out to even make the simplest decisions. I need to calm down." He took deep breaths to calm himself and regain control of his thoughts. After a few moments stabalizing himself he asked, "Okay system what are my gifts?"

'Ding!'

"Of course I would! open both of them please!" Joseph couldnt help himself, these were real SSS grade gift packs, he couldnt even begin to imagine what was in them, but he knew they would be absolutley ridiculous.

Heart pounding with anticipation he waited with baited breath for the system to dispense his rewards when,

Joseph was beside himself, jumping and hollering for joy. He couldnt believe his broken level of luck. "I'm never going to run out of anything! haha! It normally takes years to get all 3 required nexus, one is guarenteed in the opening gift pack but its normally only F-E grade, but i've got all three at S-grade!"

He continued to ramble on for a while, mumbling incoherently about how easy things would be for him from now on when he got a sobering message.

'Ding!'

'Host please be advised that the resources you have will only sustain you into a fledgling kingdom, it is wholely insufficient to sustain a kingdom of any worth or substance. Relying to much on these items will get you killed.'

He stopped laughing instantly as he felt the cold grip of fear clutch his chest, making it difficult to breath. 

"What do I do?" This message reminded him of the seriousness of his situation, he didn't have time to play around, the devils were coming. And they were coming for him.

'I would suggest that you first install your required nexai, to begin gathering your neccessary helpers. Also it is recommended that you summon your companion, as they will be immensley helpful to you. Thirdly it is recommended that you check your individual status, so that you may have a better understanding of your own power and how to grow it.'

Joseph nodded firmly, he wasn't one to ignore sound advise when it was given. He didn't really have any better ideas anyways so he might as well just go with it. He seriousley doubted that the system would attempt to sabotage him so he felt confident in following her advice.

Opening his inventory panel he first found the three nexus tokens that he had received. Upon retreiving one he received a system prompt,

'Ding!'

'Detected that host has an S grade population nexus, would you like to integrate?'

Without hesitation Joseph responded, "Yes!" after which the token in his hand began to glow and spin rapidly above his hand like a little top. He watched while the token began to float over towards his lords manor, if one could call it that, and stop just to the right of it, where it floated for a moment before sinking into the ground. 

A few moments passed when suddenly the ground began to rumble and a crack appeard where the token sank in. A large white arch slowly rose from the ground seemingly made of the purest marble, it stood 3 meters tall and 2 meters wide and radiated a sense of majesty and power. Once it was fully out of the ground the crack sealed itself and the arch began to light up until a blue swirling portal could be seen between the legs of the arch.

Joseph was amazed by what he was seeing, never before had he seen anything like it and he couldn't help but wonder if it was real. As he stared at it he yet again heard a system prompt, breaking him out of his reverie.

'Ding!'

'Detected an active population nexus, due to the nexus grade the host has the option of chosing the type of beings the gate will summon. Please select your prefered race, Note: stronger beings will reduce the number of people that can be summoned per use of the gate.'

Joseph was very excited, normally the population was randomly chosen and you had a certain chance of summoning a slightly stronger version of the chosen race each day. But with his nexus he could lock in a strong race to begin with, further strengthening his realm and widening the gap between himself and others.

He didn't want a race that was too strong, 1 or 2 people a day just wouldnt cut it. He wanted something that was kind of in the middle upper ranges, 10-15 people a day would be good he thought. Any more than that and they would be hard to organize.

He began looking through the race options, completely skipping over anything below C grade. While those races could give him thousands of people per day, there were practically useless in the long run. At least according to his new standards, he forgot that most blessed out there were stuck with these low grade races, and they make due with them. They just didn't even register in his mind as his standards were now much higher.

After looking for a while he came across a B ranked race that piqued his interest.

'Grade B: Vampires'

He paused for a minute, feeling a strange longing for them, as though they belonged with him, or he with them. He lost himself in that feeling of home for a moment, that feeling that was so long lost that he'd almost forgotten it. A single tear ran down his cheek as he without hesitation chose them as his population. He didn't even read their racial traits he just went with what his heart told him, consequenses be damned.

'Ding!'

'Request acknowledged, Vampires selected. Note: there is a higher grade version of the vampire race, Grade S: Angel blood Vampires. Automatically upgrading to S grade variant please wait.'

Joseph was again shocked by what his system and rewards could do, so caught up in the feelings he had he didn't even think to look for a higher variant. Thankfully though the system took care of it for him, saving him a future of regrets.

Once his choice was confirmed he noticed that the gate's structure changed significantly, it still looked like it was made of marble but now there were blood red streaks running through the stone, and a bloody angel figure apearing at the apex of the arch, much like the one that was etched into his manor door. The feeling of majesty intensified as well as began to emit feelings of holiness, and at the same time intense bloodlust. 

The color of the portal changed from blue to scarlet, seeming as if it was a swirling pool of blood just waiting to unleash whatever horros awaited on the other side. But Joseph wasnt scared at all, no instead he felt like he was coming home, and he couldnt wait to greet those who would come from within. 

He controlled himself though as he remembered the advise that the system had given him. Postponing his first population summoning for a few moments he then retreived his companion token, thinking that he could install the other nexai after he met with his companion, as they may have additional input into the best options for troops and administrators for his new kingdom. Taking the token in his hand he repeated the process for activating the tokens when he heard.

'Ding!'

'Detected that host has used a SSS grade companion summoning token, please select the gender and race of the desired companion.'

This was easy for Joseph, having been alone his whole life he had always wanted to find a girlfriend but had been pushed aside, and ignored by every female he had ever met. Even those who weren't outright mean to him ignored that he even existed. He wanted to feel that kind of companionship that he had seen others have and he figured now was the best opportunity he would ever get.

Thinking this he made his choice, "Female, Angel Blood Vampire please." He already knew that this was a race option so why go for something else? He had such a strong emotional reaction to just the name so surely they had to be a good option right?

'Ding!'

'Request acknowledged, Note: There is a higher grade of the chosen race, Grade SSS: Blood Angel, Automatically upgraded chosen companion to the new race...Congratulations! you have received your first companion SSS grade Liza, The Blood Queen.'

Once again the system exceeded Josephs expectations, he had again been to lazy to look for higher grade options which the system saved him from. He made a mental note to thank the system later when he noticed a bright pillar of blood red light decending from above him. An overwhelming sence of power and majesty flooded his senses, making him feel like he was in the preasence of a god. 

As the light rested upon him he saw, decending from the clouds, an otherworldy beautiful woman, with ruby colord wings sprouting from her back, gently flapping against the wind to control her decent. Flaming red hair flowing in curls down her back reaching just above her rather juicy peach. Her face was angular and sharp adding to her violent beauty, along with her scarlet colored eyes that seemed to radiate a sense of superiority and power. She was in Josephs mind the absolute peak of beauty, he couldn't even begin to fathom anyone or anything could be more perfect. 

He stared, slackjawed, up at her while she decended gracefully, upon reaching the ground her wings vanished, along with the red light and he could see her kneeling before him saying,

"Greetings my king, how may I serve you?"
