Chapter 3

"Viona ...." A voice called her out softly. She looked to the right and left, looking for where the voice came from. She walked pretty far and doesn't know where she is right now.

It was all dark, just the dim light of the moon and fireflies that helped her look around.

"Viona...." Again, the voice called her name even a few times.

"Who are you?" In the end, she ventured to answer while still finding out the source of the call.

She continued to move slowly and carefully. It could be that in front, there lies a deep chasm, and she will fall if she does not pay attention and recognize the environment where she is now.

Trees and plants are everywhere. She can feel the bush, as well as the weed plants that occasionally sway and touch his bottomless feet.

The call was heard again. This time as if it was around her.

"Mauver ...!" Viona cried. Only that name was on her mind right now. She was now the pure-blood of the man. Then it was his duty to protect her. But where is he at the moment?

Viona called the name back. There's no replication. Is she dreaming? If so, why does it feel so real?

Viona continued to step down the endless path. She couldn't see what was in front of her. She chose to move slowly.

"Mauver ...!" Viona cried again. This time she began to feel scared. Her breath hunted as the pace slowed. Slowly she then ran. And sure enough, before she lay a vast chasm, she fell.

Between consciousness and dreams, she felt her body float. Maybe a little more will touch the bottom of that abyss. However, no. Something sturdy first catches the body that begins to collapse.

She tried to open her eyes, making sure who was now carrying her body to land safely.

"Viona ...." That voice again. The girl was wide-eyed. Her throat was stuck, and she was unable to scream. She thrashed with all his might until she escaped the creature's grip and landed hard.

"I'm going to find you, Viona ...," said the creature quietly. Make Viona's hair respite.

Viona wakes up with a stifled squeak. Her body re-thrashed as if trying to free herself from the grip of something. She didn't know what she had just seen.

One screech finally escaped from her lips. He got up and sat down and found Mauver in front of her.

"Viona! Viona, wake up!" Mauver shook the body that was still attacked by sleep paralysis. Viona opened her eyes and then plunged into Mauver's arms.

"Mauver, Mauver. Something's chasing after me. H-he, he ...." With a gasp, Viona tried to tell what she had just experienced.

"Relax, Viona! Calm! I already know that. You are calm." Mauver took the water stored on her nightstand. "Drink first."

The girl received the glass proffered by Mauver and then gulped the contents until it was empty.

"Mauver, this is not a dream. It's real, I'm sure of it." Viona was still experiencing and feeling panic. She forgets that Mauver is a blue-blood that can penetrate the mind and pure-blood dreamland.

"Yes, I know."

"What?"

Mauver got up and took a little distance from Viona.

"I know everything, Viona. They are chasing you."

The girl shook her head. "No ... Mauver, I'm afraid Mauver, please save me, protect me." the girl shook her head many times in disbelief at what she was going through.

There hasn't even been a union between herself and Mauver; she's already experienced something that makes her cold sweat pour out.

The man laughed at Viona's words. The girl repeatedly spoke as if she was raving.

"Didn't anyone tell me that she wasn't a coward? Then why is she asking for protection from me now?" he sneered. Viona snared.

"Y-you ...." Viona was about to say something, but she refused to do it. She just breathed a sigh of annoyance.

"Look, even if you don't ask, I must protect you. That's why I've been here ever since. Now go to sleep!" Mauver walked out of the girl's room. Viona was annoyed at the man's indifferent attitude.

"Hey, don't ever carelessly go into people's rooms next time!" she cried, then threw her bolsters towards the closed door.

***

Mauver is ready in a suit; soon, he will go to the office. He was eager to ditch after what happened to Viona, but unfortunately, there was a lot to do today.

Viona came down from the room and saw Mauver had been tidied and sat down to read the newspaper. She kept laughing at the man, just like her father.

Does the vampire need to read a newspaper?

"Don't laugh. I read the newspaper to check the stock market. Not what your father read," Mauver said without diverting the glance from the object in his hand.

"Get yourself ready, then come with me."

Viona widened her eyes. "Where?"

"Wherever I go, you have to come because you're my pure blood, have you forgotten?" this time, the man peered out from behind the newspaper.

"B-but ... We haven't done it yet."

"Don't be fussy; just do what I tell you to say if you want to survive the creature!" said Mauver, who was greeted with a respectful nod from Viona, who rushed up the stairs and prepared.

Before long, Viona had prepared a dress provided by Mauver on her bed. The skirt was perfectly attached to her body. Even Mauver didn't blink, staring at Viona's look in front of him.

Not wanting to wait long, he walked ahead of Viona, who then trailed the steps behind him. He pulled out his SUV for him to drive from today.

Because there is Viona that he must take care of her comfort, it's not good if he goes anywhere to get his motorsport by piggybacking on the girl. It's going to be very striking.

The man opened the door for Viona and then rushed in and sat at the wheel. Without intention to wait, his mounts split the road in front of him.

When they arrived, all eyes looked toward Viona, who was walking behind Mauver. Some whispered enviously; some just glanced in dislike. Of course, the one who does all this is human.

They feel envious because Viona is a lucky girl to be pure-blood to blue-blood like Mauver.

No one doesn't admire that man. A man with a tall body that is sturdy and charming, as well as skin that does not pale in the slightest. Very handsome and make it impossible for anyone to refuse to meet the eye to eye with him.

Even many blue-blood people secretly admire him.

Mauver sits on his chair, allowing Viona to sit comfortably on the sofa in the corner of his room. From his place, he looked at Viona, who seemed to be thinking of something.

"Today, I will confirm you, Viona. Are you ready?" asked Mauver suddenly, which shocked the girl. However, he couldn't possibly resist it.

If she is not confirmed immediately and undergoes unification, it will be difficult for Mauver to protect her. Which means her life will continue to be in danger.

"Yes, I'm ready," Viona replied, full of confidence, though there were many horrors in imagining what the inaugural would look like. However, she had to be prepared because that was her destiny.
