"In our home," replied Artur taking a seat next to her after leaning against one of the wall's support pillars instead of lying beside her as he usually did. He appeared relaxed and confident with his arms crossed behind his head as he said, "But you're far from safe yet."

Monique studied his eyes trying to remember what color they were now before finally noticing something unusual about his irises. Although, it took her some time since her mind was still fuzzy from waking up. Not only that, but she hadn't realized how much blood covered everything until she'd sat up properly. The wounds on her leg looked much better already since they seemed much less swollen than earlier— although, she noticed that there was still dried blood all over her boots. After inspecting herself closely, Monique looked back to meet his gaze when she noticed an oddity in his pupils again for a moment before realizing it must've been just due to light hitting them in different ways.
