Chapter 9

Third person POV

Artemis is the Greek goddess of the hunt, the wilderness, wild animals, the Moon, and chastity. The goddess Diana is her Roman equivalent.

Artemis is the daughter of Zeus and Leto, and the twin sister of Apollo. She was the patron and protector of young girls, and was believed to bring disease upon women and relieve them of it.

Artemis was worshipped as one of the primary goddesses of childbirth and midwifery along with Eileithyia. Much like Athena and Hestia, Artemis preferred to remain a maiden and is sworn never to marry.

Artemis was one of the most widely venerated of the Ancient Greek deities, and her temple at Ephesus was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Artemis' symbols included a bow and arrow, a quiver and hunting knives and the deer and the cypress were sacred to her.

Diana, her Roman equivalent, was especially worshipped on the Aventine Hill in Rome, near Lake Nemi in the Alban Hills, and in Campania.

Her heartbeat spiked as her best friend got stolen right before her eyes. She didn't waste anytime getting in the car and driving to the police station. She was breathing heavily still trying to comprehend what just happened.

She new it was a bad idea to go, yet she let him go anyway. Why? She had no idea why, it was just her trying to support her friend, and it led to him getting captured by god knows what, literally.

She parked her car and got out quickly. She burst through the door with wet eyes and an angry face, some thought it was a mother who just witnessed her kids get beat up by a thug or something.

A police officer walked up to her in a calming voice. "Mam slow down and tell me what's wrong" he spoke putting his hands out in front of him in a non threatening manner. "My friend he was kidnapped" she cut right to the chase.

He nodded and took out his note book to right stiff down in. "Ok how did it happen" he asked still looking at the notebook. "Those assholes in Olympus are what happened" she spat out, whilst he looked up confused.

"What do you mean" he asked his eyebrows furrowed. She played with her fingers as she looked around anxiously "they just snatched him up and disappeared" she explained in the simplist terms.

He stared at her for a few seconds before putting his notebook back in its place. "Are you sure you weren't hallucinating" he asked her hesitantly. She glared angrily at him "do you think I would hallucinate this!" She yelled at him.

He shook his head as he looked at her annoyed. "If your gonna lie I don't think you should be here" he said. Her bottom lip shook as she listened to him. She turned around and left the police station, and now the fun part.

She had to tell his family.

The door opening to reveal his cute little sister in a dress smiling up at her. Sadly her smile wasn't has real, she was going to have to break the news to them, it was not going to be a thing she was looking forward to.

She bent down to her level and gave her a pat on the head. "Hey could you get your mom for me" she asked sweetly. The little girl smiled and nodded her head before running off, Casey stepped in the house and sat down and waited.

His mom came out with a smile one her face when she noticed Casey was here. She sat down on the couch beside her and face her a quick hug. "Casey my dear how are you" she asked with a smile on her face.

"I'm fine but enough about me I have to tell you something" she started with. She smiled and nodded before looking around in confusion. "Where's priamos" she asked and looked back at Casey.

Casey cringed on the inside, not wanting to do this one bit. She looked back at his mom with determination in her eyes. "This is about him" she said. The mother nodded and continued to look at her expectantly.
