“Take that statement back!” Jax’s voice dropped to a low, menacing tone as rage coursed through his trembling body. The overwhelming anger fueled his desire to deliver a devastating blow to his adversary’s face. “Oh, you want me to take it back, you’re not worth it,” the guy retorted dismissively. “I said take it back!” Jax growled, his voice bordering on a primal growl. His vision tinted red, the urge to unleash his wrath upon the man standing in front of him intensified. With a sly smile, the guy taunted Jax, reveling in the attention and admiration he gained by standing up to someone of Jax’s power. He believed he could elevate his image and prestige among those in the room by challenging someone they wouldn’t dare confront without their army to protect them. Being on the same power level as Jax, his confidence soared. Confident in his power as a Tier 2 warrior, and the fact that he had attained the realm ahead of Jax, the man believed he could easily handle the situation.
