Shawn had been sitting in a chair for over an hour, and there was no way for him to get a breath or a walk after the interrogation he had been getting minute after minute.

Shawn knew he was saying the same thing over and over again but no one believed him. . . No one considered that he might be saying the truth, and this was the one thing that bothered Shawn.

The man he had seen in the room when the fire had almost razed the building. . . It was now the words he spoke that gave meaning to Shawn's ears.

"If only I had listened to Mike and Leah. . . It wouldn't have gotten to this, I believe I would have been home right now, we would have been at home having some fun. . ." Shawm mumbled to himself as he shook his head.

With mixed feelings in the air, Shawn got quiet almost immediately, trying too hard not to regret his actions after all he had been told, to be careful. . . He gave deaf ears.
