Everything seemed to have happened too fast. One time Shawn had been warned not to go close to the fire, the next time he got arrested and was interrogated and in less than a day he was released to see his friends.

It got even more confusing when he kept remembering that he couldn't tell them he wasn't the one who caused the fire but someone else who had put Shawn into trouble when all he was trying to do was help.

Shawn had no idea how he was going to explain to the next person who asked him how he managed to get arrested when all he tried to do was help put out the fire.

“Here, you really have to eat something. . . You haven't really taken something since the day you were let out. . . What's the problem?” Leah asked.
