Cara dashed through the woods as she tried to catch a glimpse of what was happening inside the house. Fristborn followed her closely, looking over his shoulder as he did. She kept running until she tripped and fell, bruising her knee in the process.

"Ah!"

She cried out as she fell, her eye almost getting pierced by a twig.

"Are you alright?" Fristborn asked her and helped her stand. She cursed and mumbled inaudible words as she stood up.

"We should go back for him. Alastair is in danger and we should not run away. It feels like we are leaving him behind." Cara said and sniffled. Fristborn cupped her face reassuringly.

"We are not. He ordered us to leave. Those creatures back there were faster and stronger than what we have ever fought in this plane. They were like demons. We do not know what they are exactly and until we do, it is unwise for us to go back looking for trouble. When the time is right, I believe Alastair will send us a signal. We just have to wait."
