Chap. 70 Don't Kill Me

Jonathan swiftly braked his car after hearing a scream from Magdalena.

"Calm down, Lena, don't be hasty. Jonathan immediately locked his car door from the inside when Magdalena wanted to get out of the car.

"But Nathan, that person seems to have been hit by our car."

"I know, but you don't come out. Let me see. It's dangerous at this time of night if someone has bad intentions. You don't have any special skills to defend yourself. I don't want to be careless a second time and get you hurt."

"Okay, Nathan, I understand," said Magdalena, following Jonathan's orders which, as usual, were very protective of her.

Jonathan didn't immediately get down; his instincts told him this incident was odd. Because he drives a car at moderate speed and his driving ability can't be doubted. After seeing someone's shadow, Jonathan immediately braked his vehicle.

Jonathan concludes that this incident was planned for the benefit of the person who pretended to be hit.
