There is only one hour remaining within the time limit. After one hour. The battle event will end and all rankings will be decided.

Within that nervous situation. An announcer’s voice echoed over the whole battlefield.

“Currently in number one place player Kaede! The second is Racer and the third is Blake! In an hour starting now, when the top three are defeated, 30% of the points they gained will be transferred to the player who defeated them. The position of the top three players will be shown in the man! Please do your best until the end!”

“Looks very troublesome. But I was disappointed that I’m not the number one.” Racer said who didn’t feel a sense of crisis.

“Such pain in the ass… Also, That Kaede girl is taking first place. She must be very strong.” Blake said and yawned.

Meanwhile, Kaede smile and reached his ears. She was overjoyed that she became number one in her very first battle event.

“I did it! I’m number 1!

Kaede was very glad about the things happening to her but the battle is far from over.

While the three of them showed different reactions to their rankings. The battle event was moving forward to its climax. Players that were aiming for their head was running toward them striving to be first.

“There she is!”

“That’s her! The number one!”

The players come out from the forest moving and surrounding Kaede. Within them, there were of course players with lots of agility stats on them. Making them move so fast.

“A ninja? Is that possible?”

“Anything is possible in this game. That’s how this game is designed. Now repent and give me the points you gained.”

Without being able to keep up with that high speed. The ninja appeared behind Kaede with her dagger. The dagger was swung toward the nape of Kaede’s neck.

“W-Why?!”

But, that wouldn’t get through to Kaede.

Before the ninja player gets their dagger loses to Kaede. Her sword protected her and bites the ninja Player. The sword of Kaede became a huge dragon fang and chowed down the ninja.

“Is this possible?!”

“Anything is possible in this game.”

Kaede replied.

The ninja player became the magic counter for the sword.

And even after that, a lot of players leap toward Kaede and got eaten while saying their complaints.

Having seen that horrible scene a lot of times, the movements of the players had become more cautious and they slowly lessened their distance. There were a lot of them who were especially being cautious of the killing technique of the sword.

But, the players didn't know that Kaede still has more skills on her sleeves.

“Poison breath!”

Kaede’s sword started to release violet poisonous smog that scattered through the whole area.

“Paralyzing roar!”

Using her most used skill. The players around Kaede were collapsing one next to the other. They all had no way of escaping the lethal poison smog. All players who attempted to defeat Kaede were killed by poison.

In the end, they all became Kaede’s points.

After the hour of battle, the battle event ended.

“The battle vent ended! The result was no change of rank from number 1 to number 3. Well then, we will now proceed to the awarding ceremony!”

When Kaede thought that her vision whitened, she was at the same plaza at the starting town. People look at her with cheerful expressions. They all clap their hands for her.

The number 1 to number 3 is told to climb the stage so Kaede gets the center of attention because she is number 1.

“This is the feeling of the limelight so great.”

Kaede was standing while looking straight forward, but with the amount of sight, she somehow got shy, and her face blushed.

And, she was passed the microphone when her head had whitened with nervousness.

“Next is the number one player Kaede! Please say something!”

She was saying next, so the two should have already talked, but Kaede was too nervous that she was listening.

“Eh… Umm… I like chickens…”

The announcer is skeptical of her words.

“Eh?”

She also didn’t know what to talk about so she was saying ridiculous things.

Kaede had been so embarrassed she couldn’t look forward, so she didn’t notice that a lot of players were recording and had that on video.

When she got the event prize, Kaede returned to the inn’s room swiftly.

That night. The bulletin board’s Kaede is too cute a thread, and Kaede the strongest newbie sword user is on fire.

A discussion thread is made talking about Kaede’s stats and sword build.

“That little girl looks innocent on the outside but she’s an absolute monster. Honestly, I think she is in the same level as the top players. Maybe worst than them.”

“But she is very cute. Like a cute little demon lord. I’m also a sword user I’m glad I made it in the top ten in the battle event.”

“Anyway, is that possible in the sword? I mean those skill she’s using is overpowered. I did my research and found out that this event is Kaede’s first time in the battle event. How is that even possible for a newbie player!?”

Summary of Kaede’s first event score. Death 0, damage received 130, number of players defeated 2050. Her equipment is a sword that can eat opponents. The same sword can also use status debuffs like poison smog and paralyzing shocks.

Her dark robe is can’t be seen anywhere and one of the unique series. She has skills that can boost her evasion ability and recover health points. Her dodging ability is an unbelievable speed.

“Looking at everything this is crazy for a new player like her. The number one mystery here is her stats and skill build. Just how high is her attack damage for her to single-slash everyone on the battlefield.”

“Kaede started to become the new demon lord of this era. Her equipment is frightening. I’m one of her victims. My body was chewed down by her sword. She doesn’t even have empathy. In this game, the maximum pain a player can feel is only 20% of real life. But still, that hurts a lot.”

“We do feel bad… Looks like she has very high STR stats. I mean, isn’t there someone who has an idea of what skill Kaede has?”

“No one knows about it.”

It is unknown what skill Kaede has but she probably got basic ones. But her skill is unknown.

“Maybe she got a secret skill or something…”

“That might be true… This game still has many hidden things and secret skills. That’s why I love this game so much.”

“She has an AoE status debuff or else it’s impossible to win. Her poison smog is probably a high leveled magic. There s a question here. what happened to MP? Magic should cost MP. Using that magic lightly, and with that strength, she is probably a full STR build right?”

“You got a  point, high level magic should use a high amount of MP. At her level, she supposes to use Magic maybe once or none. I guess it’s in the sword. The sword was eating the players and maybe the players are converted into some kind of magic replacement.”

“That’s smart. Then those players eaten was her source of magic. That means she can’t use magic unless she has enough magic to cast it.”

“Correct.”

“It means, Kaede herself has a ridiculous high strength and makes her one-hit everyone with her sword.”

“Truly a demon lord candidate I should say…”

“Yeah… Freaking devilish girl.”

But it is said that she might have a skill still hidden. That’s what all the players thought when they think about Kaede.

“Maybe she is a former top player or something.”

The Top 7 player named Amber started to become interested in Kaede and in the future, their weapons will come clashing with each other.
