Moving home

Eddie is in his room, taking care of packing his things away. He takes one glance over at the room, making sure that he has everything he needs.

None of this stuff is his; it is, and isn't. All the new clothes were gifted by Isan, and Alicia even pulled out some shoes that she had picked out when she went to the mall. They were nice, and Eddie tested them out, running a little, and then hopping in them.

Super light, and easy to move in, he noted, pulling the luggage behind him.

There was an RV already in the front of the house, and Alicia was watching from the doorway, the others already packing their stuff in there.

Eddie would admit that being alpha was strange; he had already made his first command, and no one was challenging him over it, or trying to talk him out of it. They simply did what they were told, and Eddie honestly had mixed feelings about this.

On one hand, it was nice that his choices and say were final, and there wasn't anything really left to discuss over.

On the other, he didn't want to be like a tyrant, and it bothered him how quick they were to serve. Maybe it was something he needed to get use to.

Who was he to question it, Eddie was still figuring out the ropes!

As he walked down, Alicia moved to the side, bowing a little, her eyes downcasted and sad. Eddie gently placed a hand on her slender shoulder, and she looked up, confusion in her eyes.

"You're doing great Alicia. And I'm sorry about your loss." Eddie said, and Alicia's eyes turned a bit red, her lower lip trembling.

"Thank you, Al-Eddie. It means more than you think." she replied, noticing the grimace on his face as she was about to use his proper title.

A honk from outside cut the little moment, and when Eddie turned around, he saw Brayden at the driver's seat, motioning for them to move forward. Eddie gave him a nod, and turn and gave Alicia a big hug.

She wasn't expecting it, her feet off the ground as Eddie picked her up in a hug. She was light like a bird, but Eddie could feel the strength in her, and kissed her cheek. She smelled of flowers, and cherries, and before Alicia could say anything else, he was out the door with his luggage, he took the steps up the RV, and chucked his items in.

Addie, and Tric had already called dibs on what beds they wanted  to sleep in, David lounging around in the kitchen area. Brayden starts up the RV, music blasting from  the speakers.

Eddie tries to listen in, to see what music is playing, but it sounds too electronic for him to be able to tell. Sitting in the tiny dining area, Brayden lets out a yell, before the RV pulls away from the mansion.

It doesn't slip Eddie's eyes that the pack stares back at the mansion with solemn eyes.

Although Eddie feels like he's making it up as he goes along, he knew with someone like Alicia in his life, that wasn't the case. Alicia had called into the small town he resided in, buying a house, and land big enough for the pack to live comfortably, and away from public eye. She was also in a bit of  a rush to get it all done, and when Eddie had asked why, she seemed reluctant to answer.

"Isan's pack is based on that place, Eddie. If the rival pack were to wander in, and see that not even the alpha was present, they'd have no problem claiming it for theirs." Alicia said, her brows furrowed with worry.

Eddie had instantly knew what that meant, trying to get there as fast as possible.

And the way that Brayden was driving, it wouldn't take them that long to have him go back home. Eddie didn't understand how Brayden could drive so fast, so energetically, and without causing traffic problems or accidents.

"He's very focused." Addie had said, pulling Eddie out from his thoughts. He nodded, and she sat across from him, her eyes friendly and curious.

Eddie nods, glancing at David who is now cooking, Tric and him in deep conversation.

"So...uh...Alpha Eddie...what's your story?" Addie asked, the way alpha rolling off her tongue uncertainly, a slight grimace on her face.

Eddie wasn't use to it either, and he cleared his throat, facing Addie. And then he began to tell her everything that ever happened to lead him up to this point.

Soon, David, who had finished cooking, joined in, Tric following behind. They all sat down, and listened, and even Brayden turned down his music, just enough to where he could hear his new alph talking.

Back in Sacramento...

Alicia was back in Isan's room, where she smoothed out the fresh sheets onto his bed. They had maids for this, but she wanted to be the one that cleaned his room for the final time.

Her vision blurred with tears, and she let them fall freely, as she stepped into the restroom, and pulled on her gloves to scrub the tub.

Eddie had been kind, despite Isan taking his normal lifestyle away. Sure, he was gifted with estates, stock, and money, but he now had the responsibility to tend to strangers he didn't even know.

Alicia sprayed some bleach into the tub, scrubbing it down with a sponge, when she heard it.

    The whispers.

She stood up then, dropping the items from her hands, as they appeared before her, the smell of wild flowers filling up the bathroom. It was strong, to the point where Alicia felt a bit woozy from all of it.

Two forms stood in front of her, the shorter one stepping forward. She wore amor, and had lavender silver colored eyes that flashed knowingly at Alicia. There were flowers tangled into her dark purple tresses, that she kept tied away with a plant vine. She smiled, and though she looked dangerous, she also looked very beautiful.

Behind her, a tall knight wearing darl blue armor stood, his silver spiked hair having plant vines running in and out of his hair stands there, a bored expression on his face.

"Wynn, and Diveen." Alicia says flatly.

"Oh, so cheered to know you remembered our names. You've been here with the wolf for a good while. Long, but short." Wynn replies, her face turning into a genuine smile.

"It's time to come home, Enola. The wolf you married, and made a truce with has passed. You serve no purpose here." Diveen said, Wynn nodding.

"I have a purpose here. There's a new alpha." Alicia replied, flinching at the use of her given name.

"We know, and you and him aren't married, nor a truce has been invoked. The kingdom calls you home." Wynn responded, a sly smile on her face.

"I don't even know if the kingdom is my true home. I have the blood and flesh of a human, so-"

"But you were raised in the Unseelie Courts, were you not? Brought up by the blessings of his Royal Highness, after you were founded near dead, and abandoned." Diveen said, and the color drained from Alicia's face, as she clasped her hands together, her hold so tight.

"Enough of this bickering, Enola. The kingdom calls you home."
