Chapter 5 - Meet Again

Luckily no human has power beyond him, so he destroys every human who wants to free his brother so that he can fellowship easily.

Usually, humans wish to cooperate with the Dark Dragon because they are jealous of their brothers. Just like what happened between the White Dragon and the Dark Dragon.

However, the White Dragon and the Human loved each other like brothers and friends. However, the White Dragon knows that humans can die and cannot be together forever like his eternally aged self. Because of that, the White Dragon entered into a blood pact. He gives some of his blood to humans so that the blood of the two flows until they have the same genes. So that the children who become the descendants of his human partners can inherit his covenant and power forever so that the White Dragon Demon is created.

Because humans can be trusted, he allows himself to transform into a magic sword to be used to eradicate the evil generated by hatred and allows himself to fall asleep.

"Actually, where is the whereabouts of king Ozel's son? Where did that giant bird take him to?" Darke took a deep breath. After years of being chased by Roxy, she couldn't freely find her master's son.

If Roxy accidentally found him, the evil king would not hesitate to kill her because Drake was the one who advised Ozel to run away with Saffia and his son from the castle.

Escaping the child made Ozel have hope that his son would be the one who would stop Roxy's evil plans if he died at the hands of his own brother.

However, to perfectly control the White Dragon's blade, a human must not harbor hatred in his heart. If there is hatred towards someone and he intends to use his power for revenge, then the agreement between him and his old partner will fade.

Because he gives that power to be used to eradicate someone who wants to destroy the world because of hatred and revenge. If his partner's descendants deviate from their original purpose, the blood agreement will no longer work. And forced, he must return to being a White Dragon, not a sword.

"Mother! Where are you?!!" Dramon walked through the market, filled with human corpses, while calling out to Saffia.

With trembling legs, Dramon stepped over the corpse so as not to be stepped on.

Zarlia was busy looting every corpse to remove all the valuables in their bodies.

"Why are you stealing other people's stuff?! That is wrong!"

"I don't care. Will all people care about a poor kid like me during his lifetime? They're dead anyway, so they don't need these things anymore." Zarlia was still busy searching like a lifeless human.

"But, it is still wrong!"

Zarlia suddenly looked at Dramon sharply. "Why do you still care about a human who already hates you! Have you forgotten what Gregor did earlier, huh?! He almost got you killed!"

"But my mother says hate is the most heinous crime in the world! Because of hatred, humans can commit other crimes!"

"I don't care! Because kindness will not make you live longer in this world! It's you, not me! Just find your mother! If your mother is killed by the royal army of Xirna, I want to see if you keep up that kindness of yours!"

"So... your parents and their families were killed by the soldier just now?" Dramon guessed.

Zarlia suddenly became silent and didn't expect Dramon to guess it right.

She is wrong. Turns out the whiny boy was an intelligent human.

"That is none of your business!" Zarlia immediately returned to plunder the corpses, trying to avoid Dramon's questioning and concerned look.

Zarlia's tears flowed unwantedly. The bloody events six years ago came back to haunt him when the Xirna troops, for the first time, came to attack the village of Kalastar and killed all six-year-old boy. That incident claimed the lives of his twin brother, Zarlio, and his parents at that time because they tried to take his younger brother from the commander-in-chief with Morwen.

She didn't know what Morwen and the Royal Xirna army's goal was to slaughter every six-year-old child, so Zarlia had to lose her little brother. But, when Zarlia investigated it, it turned out that they were only looking for a boy the same age as him, the Roxy King's nephew.

Even though they could find the child without killing his little bro and other children.

Because of that, Zarlia wanted to kill the Roxy King's nephew, who had caused him to lose the people he cared about and loved the most.

The primary purpose of her living in this world is to kill Roxy's nephew.

Zarlia couldn't possibly kill King Roxy, famous for being great and powerful, because she would be killed any time by King Roxy. But, Zarlia was able to avenge the bastard king by eliminating his nephew, who had caused the destruction of the world. Since the Roxy King was desperately searching for the child, it must be because he wanted something from his nephew.

All mankind already knows the conflict within the royal family and the betrayal of King Roxy, who had the heart to kill her father and brother.

So, by killing just one person, Zarlia could avenge his hurt toward two people at once. Namely the Roxy King and that child.

After Zarlia knew Commander Morwen's goal of attacking Kalastar village, he unceremoniously saved Dramon. He didn't want Dramon to end up like his little brother. Although sometimes, he felt sorry for helping Dramon because that whiny boy always annoyed him.

"I'm sorry… wipe your tears with this." Dramon handed his scarf to Zarlia.

Zarlia was fixated on the scarf that Dramon gave her. She was stunned for a moment. Dramon's attitude is very touching. This is the first time Zarlia gets the attention of a stranger.

"No need." Zarlia looked away.

"Are you mad at me?"

Zarlia again pretended to be busy looting jewelry, money, and other items in the pockets and bags of the corpses. He was lazy to argue at this time due to his erratic mood.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you—"

A quick bow shot to Dramon, who had not noticed Roxy and Morwen's presence. Zarlia, realizing the sound of the gun, immediately pushed Dramon so that the arrow stuck right in his chest.

"ZARLIAAA!" Dramon screamed hysterically.

Zarlia immediately fell and lay helpless after being stabbed by the arrow at his vital point, the heart.

For a moment, Dramon was stunned in disbelief, trying to convince himself that everything he saw in front of his eyes was not a dream.

The boy was barely able to move to help Zarlia due to being too shocked by the cruelty of the man wearing the black robe.

"Finally, I found you..." Roxy chuckled in satisfaction. His horse slowly approached Dramon. He didn't want his nephew to run away again.

"I really missed you. How hard have I been looking for you for almost twelve years? I didn't expect that all this time you lived in a small village-"

"Go away from me!" Dramon slowly backed away while shivering in fear as the man drew nearer. Dramon shuffled backward until he was stuck against the wall.

"Don't be afraid, honey. I will not hurt you." Roxy smiled pretentiously.

"DON'T DARE COME ANY CLOSE! OR I WILL KILL YOU!"

Roxy's laughter suddenly broke. The white-haired boy's threat sounded like a joke. How could that boy obliterate him without the White Dragon's sword?

"Kill me? Did I not hear wrong?"

What should Roxy be afraid of a boy who doesn't understand the power flowing within him? Moreover, he niece didn't hold the White Dragon's sword, so Roxy didn't need to take the boy's criticism as a severe calamity.

Sweat flooded Dramon's body. No one was passing around Dramon. That meant that no one would help him if anything happened.

'Could all the villagers have fled to seek refuge?'

Dramon fumbled around for items lying nearby, trying to grab anything he could use to defend himself if the man suddenly attacked. When his hand felt itself grasping a hilt, Dramon pointed it at the Roxy King without thinking.

"I-I'M NOT KIDDING!"

"You are very similar to my brother. Arrogant. I no longer need to confirm whether you're my nephew. Because from your face alone, you are very much like my brother. I'm sure you're the one."

"I'm not a bastard nephew of a bastard like you!"

Roxy was offended. His hands immediately extended to grip Dramon's neck, bringing him closer.

"How dare you insult a great king like me! Do you want to catch up with your father, huh?!"

"Le-let go!" Dramon struggled with all his might while trying to get rid of Roxy's giggling. But, when he worked more and more, the man's grip grew stronger so that Dramon couldn't breathe because no oxygen was escaping into his chest cavity.

"I'll never let go—" A burst of white flame shot quickly into Roxy's arm, causing Dramon to fall from his noose.

"DAMN IT! WHO DARE TO ATTACK ME, HUH?! GO OUT! FACE ME DIRECTLY!" Roxy looked furiously around her with an angry expression.

"Me!" Saffia jumped down from the giant white owl.

Roxy was wide-eyed for a moment. The woman was no stranger to him. What's more, she's holding a giant bluish-white bow, which is his mainstay weapon.

"I was the one who attacked you, my Brother-in-law!"

"MOTHER!" Dramon immediately ran to Saffia and hugged her.

Saffia immediately pulled Dramon back to take cover. "Shut up! You have to stay behind, Mother!"

Roxy chuckled in satisfaction.

The man immediately dismounted from his horse. "Finally, I managed to find you, my Sister-in-law. We haven't seen each other for almost twelve years-"

"No need to mince words!" Saffira snapped. "Tell me quickly, what is your purpose in coming to the village and causing chaos?! Aren't you satisfied with killing my husband and father-in-law?!"

"Of course, I also want to kill you and your child," Roxy answered lightly.

"You are a bastard! You can't kill me!"

"What can a weak woman like you do?" Roxy sneered.
