Yasuke, Chapter 15 : Idols Become Rivals

After building his aura, Gozu's chi formed a small book that continued to hover on the left side of him.

"Gozu is really taking this battle serious...he plans on using his God's Hand from the beginning" Nala thought.

After seeing this, Perseus noticed something about the book. It was radiating it's own chi that felt completely different than Gozu's.

"I can tell he's not joking around." Perseus thought. "It would be wise to do the same."

"To be able to show you that I'm far from weak, I had to start this fight off with my strongest technique." Gozu explained.

"So go ahead." Perseus stated as he entered his battle stance. "Show me what you're made of."

The Spartan's fighting style was taught to be as evenly offensive and defensive as possible. They always carried sufficient armor, a sturdy shield, and a sword or spear. Their famous battle stance could be identified by the positioning of these weapons and armor. The proper stance begins with their non-dominant foot leading with their dominant arm holding the shield in front of their body. They were very light on the leading foot and always have their weapons ready to strike with the rear arm. Due to Gozu being heavily inspired by Perseus, he also followed a similar stance. Because of this, Perseus began to have trouble in their battle.

"Underwater Flyzone!" Perseus yelled as his chi began to spread in the environment.

As this transpired, words filled the blank pages of Gozu's book. He quickly began reading those words and he began to grow a contagious smile that could take away the malicious thoughts from his greatest enemy. Perseus's chi then formed into a variety of marine animals that swam thought the air as if it was water, seeming to be completely unaffected by his Deep Blue.

Gozu found his body constricted by the various arms of a giant squid made of chi. From behind, a couple of narwhals formed and charged towards him head first.

"The truth is revealed because my God's Hands provide it, although I know the fight is over I can't help but he excited." Gozu stated just before his chi started spreading in the area as well.

His chi combined together above all of them and formed into a red orb of energy. Very similarly to the sun, The red orb began to emit a light that shined down upon them. The light began to completely burn Perseus's chi, as the narwhals and squid slowly burned into oblivion.

"What type of technique is that?" Perseus thought. "He hasn't moved from his original spot. I won't be able to rely on my Underwater Flyzone. This is an opponent I must beat with my own combat prowess."

Perseus entered the famous Spartan battle stance as he equipped his shield and spear and leaped into the air towards Gozu. He came down with a powerful shield thrust, Gozu jumped to the left to avoid as Perseus rushed after him.

*SWOOSH* *SWOOSH* *SWOOSH*

Gozu easily evaded the three spear stabs that followed after. He also returned with his own strike as he kicked Perseus backwards. Perseus caught himself on his back foot threw a spear stab again. This time, the spear grew a couple more feet in size and completely surprised Gozu.

*SPLATT*

Gozu's shoulder began leaking as his eyes widened.

"So my hypothesis is correct." Perseus thought. "There a limit to what that book will reveal."

"How he managed to land this attack, I do not understand. This book was supposed to always reveal his plan." Gozu thought as he pulled the spear out of him.

Perseus extended his hand out towards Perseus and the spear just flew into his hand.

"I think you missed a major part of my arsenal." Perseus said. "My Deep Blue isn't the only attack I made in his honor. In fact, I've created over one hundred techniques as a tribute to him."

"Over one hundred techniques?" Kaji thought. "I know it's against how the Spartans live, but he must be bluffing. There's no way he has over one hundred techniques."

"My real spear is interchangeable with the Seven Seas Trident, a spear made of chi that was my father's main weapon." Perseus explained. "You should have been able to see that coming with your God's Hands. But, you didn't even know the technique existed. That leads me to believe you can't predict an attack from a technique you don't know about."

Gozu just stood in silence as Perseus deciphered how his main ability works.

"That would also explain why you seem to be a bit of a historian. You gain knowledge on people and their enlightenment so that you can have more data entries in your God's Hands." Perseus continued. "It's an amazing concept and against the right person, it will prove to be very effective. Unfortunately for you, I'm someone you cannot defeat with such measures."

"Come on Gozu." Nala thought. "You have to have some form of counter planned. It's time to go ahead and reveal your trump card."

"Well, I've spilled a little more information that I should have." Perseus admitted. "It's time to end this. I'll let you know im glad I was able to inspire you to become a knight. Maybe in another life we could have fought on the same side."

"It seems in our battle you fared the best, showing me one of your proudest techniques is the one thing I request." Gozu stated.

"WHAAAA-" Nala uttered as her body slightly jerked up. "I know you're not giving in this easy. Not you, Gozu. You're supposed to have an unbreakable will."

"I don't usually submit, and yes this is the first." Gozu replied. "But to win, my God's Hands is the only technique that could've worked."

"I cannot believe this." Kaji thought. "We were all defeated so easily."

"Fear not, young one." A distant yet potent voice advised. "This Spartan will soon meet his demise."

Everyone was slightly startled except for Botaro, he knew very well what was coming next.

"The reach and impact of this voice....it can only be King Nebuchadnezzar."
