Chapter 25: In Hiding

Wendy stood inside the generator building, in front of the door that contained the machine. She had been so excited to see what was beyond, and now that she was actually here, she thought that she might burst from all the excitement. But, there was something accompanying the excitement; the guilt and worry of causing trouble. She didn't want to make trouble for anyone, especially her family. But she had wanted to see the machine her uncle told her about so badly that, after making sure that nobody was around (and, therefore, couldn't catch her), she worked up the courage to finally come here. Of course, now that she was here, she realised that it would have better if she had done this during the weekend, but she had been busy yesterday, when she had originally to go here, and the day before that (when she went to town with the Brown twins, who were hanging out with a second former), and frankly, she COULDN'T wait any longer!
