Zackary froze in place. He thought his eyes were playing tricks on him, but when the image of Mitch fully registered itself on his head. He tried to run back upstairs.
Damien shivered and accidentally released his hold on Mitch when a dark foreboding shadow radiated from the man. He had seen many things in his life. As a child, the weird dark shadows that loomed over people was a constant thing. When he was sent to the mental institution at a young age, he fought hard to prove he wasn't a liar. He desperately begged the doctors to believe him, but when they started to make his life miserable, he stopped and learned how to live with the weird things that surrounded him. His life got better and in time, the doctors began to treat him well and released him from the institution, fearing the judgement of people, Damien stayed at the hospital as a worker, deciding to remain silent, forever.
