Eternal Darkness 2

As the coldness inside the room increased, so did his body. Mori can barely feel his fingers and toes, his lids felt like they were frozen in place. His eyes watered and salty liquid began to cascade down his cheeks.

The weird obsidian liquid slithered up to his bed and as it reached his foot, a low chilly voice whispered into his ear. Mori tried to turn his head to the side, but it too, felt frozen in place.

"Do you believe?" the voice asked.

Mori wanted to answer, but what came out is nothing more than a gurgling sound.

The old man watched in astonishment as the liquid wrapped itself on his foot and slithered up his tighs, curling to his smotach, until it swaddled him completely.

He felt his chest tighten as the liquid constrict around his body. His already labored breathing completely lost, as the foreign matter gave one last compression.
