Volume 2. Chapter 11 The Unexpected

Vail's statement shocked all the Elves, and they were grateful that Sela's group failed to kill Vail and his two friends.

After learning that, the Elf Elder was shocked again. According to Cini, Rii is also a former prince from that kingdom too.

Etina asked the three of them to meet a dragon on a mountain.

“…..”

Alpha and the pack walk by and see Rii, Cini, and Vail.

“Long time no see again, Alpha.” Cini greeted them.

“Hmm…? You don't usually get wounds like this." Rii was so surprised to see Alpha's heartbreaking condition.

“No need for pleasantries, why you come?” Alpha didn't want to talk to humans for long.

“We want to ally with the giant wolf race, to fight against the ancestors,” Vail informed.

“The ancestor only fought against the human race, nothing to do with us giant wolf race,” Alpha said. doesn't care about the outside world.

"Okay, if you're not interested, we want to go to the dragon on the mountain to ally—"

“Wait… we wolf race accept it.” Alpha interrupted Cini's words.

"Even though there's no need to be — " Cini managed to avoid Alpha's bite.

After successfully allying, Rii, Cini, and Vail went up the mountain to see the dragon that Alpha was referring to.

"There are dragons here, what should we do?" Rii was confused. They saw the dragon from behind the tree.

“…..” The dragon woke up and turned to them.

"Human? Moreover, your smell is different from humans in general." The dragon was surprised.

"This is the first time I've seen a talking animal..." Cini was surprised to see a dragon that could talk.

"What is Alpha, if not an animal?" Rii denied Cini's words.

“A human language is easy for me.” The dragon informed.

They came out of hiding and walked up to the dragon.

"So, what is the aim and purpose of your coming?" The dragon asked the three of them why.

“Etina asked us to invite you to join the alliance we created,” Rii informed.

“He's apparently, alright. I will accept it.” The dragon accepted the offer made even though it had not been submitted to him.

"You agreed so quickly, didn't you think about it first?" Cini does not accept decisions that are immediately agreed to without thinking.

"I consider Etina like my little sister if that's why you came. There is no doubt in me.” The dragon informed.

“Can all dragon races speak? If we can, we want to invite them too.” Vail wanted to confirm the Dragon before their eyes.

“Hahaha…basically, dragons can't talk. They only talk through fighting and intimidation.” The dragon informed.

“Do you have to reach an evolutionary point to be like you?” Rii was so curious.

“Nothing, absolutely nothing.” The dragon answered Rii's curiosity.

"Then why can you talk and have common sense?" Cini was so surprised.

"Because basically, I am a creature who was summoned to this world just like you." The dragon informed.

“Humans in this world summon dragons? I just found out.” Cini was surprised by the Dragon's words.

“I don't know how long I've been here, but before. I am a demon king from another world who was summoned to this world.” The dragon informed.

"Devil's King?" Rii doubted this.

“I know you doubt and don't believe, how could a demon king be summoned by humans to gain hope? But that's the reality.” The dragon informed.

"Then why did you become a dragon?" Vail was so curious.

“In short, because I'm sick of being a hero and saving humanity. Even though I am fighting humans from my world, there is no choice but to accept it.” The dragon informed.

“So, you lost while fighting against the enemy, and were transformed into a dragon?” Vail wanted to be sure.

“More or less but let me explain. Almost every time I kept coming and inviting her to a duel without stopping.” The dragon informed.

"Isn't the ancestor sick of you?" The three of them said this in their hearts.

Vail asked about the problem that had occurred between himself and Alpha. The black dragon said that the giant wolf race thought. The dragon that devoured their flock was him.

“Then, haven't you misunderstood…. Alpha?” Rii glanced at a corner of a view.

Because their whereabouts are already known. Alpha and his pack appear.

“Even if you have told the truth, the fact that you are occupying our territory will not change.” Alpha groaned to intimidate the dragon and went down the mountains.

“Your misunderstanding has been resolved,” Cini announced.

"Thanks to your help, then can you tell what happened to the outside world?" The dragon asked them to tell him.

Rii told the black dragon since he was summoned until now.

After understanding the story from Rii, the dragon introduced himself.

“My name is Ryzen…a demon king who was transformed into a dragon.” Ryzen introduced himself.

“In this way, the alliance contains the Elven race, giant wolves, black dragons, and the Gerna kingdom, as well as Mansa who is the hero.” Rii reminded him again.

“Well then, Ryzen…we still have some business to do, so we'll leave first,” Rii informed.

“Okay, see you in battle. You three.”

The three of them teleported and headed to the village where Nhiel was and met Divia again.

All the kings gathered again to tell the number of troops they had received in their respective kingdoms.

"Since everyone has gathered, I will provide information regarding people who volunteered as soldiers in my kingdom." King Cluster became a conversation starter.

“My kingdom has fifty-four thousand additional troops.” The Cluster King informed.

"King Aries?" King Cluster asked King Aries to tell the others.

“My kingdom has fifty-four thousand troops.” King Aries informed.

“King Nollant?”

“I have forty-nine thousand troops.” King Nollant informed.

“King Cortase?”

“The troops I have are around forty-nine thousand.” King Cortase informed.

“King of Mitlan?”

“I got an additional army of sixty thousand troops.” King Mitlant informed.

All the kings' presents were so happy to hear that.

"Lastly, you are the king of Mand." King Clusterer asked the Mand king to tell him the number of troops he had obtained.

“My kingdom gained forty-two thousand troops.” King Mand informed.

"This is good news, with this we can ensure that victory is in our hands." The Cluster King was happy.

“After winning against the ancestors, wouldn't we be able to become a new empire? And attack kingdoms located on several other lands?” King Mitlant gave his wishful thinking.

"It's not time for us to have fun before that damn ancestor dies." King Nollant asked all the kings to restrain their pleasure.

"While we're all still here, what do you think about Norf City?" King Mand wanted to know other decisions regarding the city.

"I don't want to touch a city that has been smeared with demons, where my kingdom has been visited by these pests." King Aries laughed heartily.

“But I heard from traders who came from that city. If three figures are so powerful that they are even more dangerous than the ancestors, they have destroyed the city, and the rise of other heroes.” King Mitlant informed.

"If only he could be talked to and join us. Certainly, the ancestors are no longer a match and a threat.”

All the kings laughed listening to King Clusterer's words.

Their meeting ended with one of the kings. Proposing to move their meeting place to the still-empty imperial palace.

Six years later.

“Sir hero, may I ask a question?”

"What do you want to ask Erick?" Mansa was very curious about what Erick would say to him.

"We've never seen you with women or having relationships with women, is there another reason?" Erick said what he was confused about.

“Unlike you guys, a hero has great responsibilities…what would happen if the ancestor used the woman I love as a shield?” Mansa gave a consideration.

“Sounds reasonable too.” Nita accepted Mansa's words.

Erick turned to the balcony upstairs and saw his wife who was silently looking at the sky.

Inside the palace, King Ligt tried to convince his wife not to worry about Vail and the others.

“How can I not be anxious and worried? They didn't come home for years." Queen Amira said everything she thought.

"I feel the same thing too. But trust them, if they are fine.” King Ligt tried to make Amira not worry about them.

“Why isn't Vail coming home? Have I failed as a mother to him? Even though I hoped that he and the two of them would come home five years ago, it's been ten years now." Queen Amira felt disappointed in herself.

King Ligt feels guilty for hiding what he knew from his wife.

"Calm yourself, I'll talk when you calm down." King Ligt asked his wife to relieve her burden on mind.

“…..” Queen Amira had tried to be as calm as she could.

“Listen, Amira, Vail will not be disappointed. I communicate with them. So--"

“Why are you covering up? Why lie... it turns out I have failed as a mother and wife." The Queen was so gloomy, realizing that her husband was talking to Vail and the others without her knowledge.

“At least listen first, there is still something going on. They also only convey information, not like normal talk." King Ligt asked Amira to listen to the entire conversation.

"Say..." Queen Amira was holding back her jealousy, because her son was the only one her husband was talking to.

“Lastly, they just said they had allied to fight against the ancestors.” King Ligt informed.

“Alliance? When did they tell…” Queen Amira was very curious.

“Five months ago, they allied with the Elf race, earth elves, giant wolf race, and dragons.” King Ligt told his wife.

"They are grateful that they don't have to fight the dragon-like they fought the giant wolf race when they first met." King Ligt said again.

"Haaa..." Queen Amira lay limp when she heard her husband's words.

“Then where are they? Quickly send them back.” Queen Amira didn't want her child to be in danger.
