Volume 2. Chapter 14 Shocking News

Rii and Cini teleported and were inside the cake shop. They were grateful that everyone's eyes were still diverted to the quarrel.

"What happened?" Cini and Rii approached Rema.

"When my older brother and I were ordering a cake, suddenly the man came and grabbed old brother with force and hit his until him fell to the ground," Rema tells Cini and Rii.

“The woman who was crying was trying to intervene, I also wanted to intervene. But old brother asked the two of us not to get involved."

“The woman who crying is our little sister, and also your brother Vail's sister,” Rii informed.

“The man who hit Vail was her husband, and the hero's former partner,” Cini said.

Rema was surprised, it was a statement he had just heard.

When Erick wanted to hit Vail again, Mansa managed to block his hand.

“Erick, this is too much.” Mansa tries to get his friend to think again.

“Sir hero, this person does not need to be shown mercy. Not only did he leave Cindy and Una, but now he wants to leave Clara." Erick was so far gone and couldn't think straight.

“Do you think I want that?” Vail was so upset.

“You can insult me, hit me, until you are satisfied. BUT DON'T CALL THEM TWO NAMES!” Vail was so angry because Erick brought up and mentioned Cindy and Una's names.

“Old brother!?” Rema saw Vail being hit again until the mask he was wearing was destroyed.

"Are you satisfied?"

“Big brother, please don't provoke my husband. I will apologize, but please—”

“Clara! Don't look down on this ignorant person." Erick was so annoyed and even angrier when he saw his wife almost begging Vail.

“At this rate, Erick will beat up Vail,” Cini told Rema.

Hearing that, Rema was immediately annoyed and couldn't bear to see her brother being beaten. Rema asked Erick to let go of her brother and admit she was Gerna's Princess.

"Your actions in judging Prince Gerna could put your family in trouble," Rema told him in an annoyed tone.

"Or worse, your family could be beheaded by the kingdom."

"Forgive my mistake, princess, I was blinded by anger." Erick knelt before Rema.

"Go--"

"Rema, you can't say that." Vail interrupted Rema's words and slowly stood up.

"But…"

"I want you to be a good woman for now, it's not time for you to say cruel things like that." Vail scolds Rema.

“Rii, give the cake shop owner some money to compensate him for his losses. We're leaving…” Vail announced.

Rii left the compensation money with one of the shop assistants, and they immediately left there.

“Is someone sick?” Rema was so worried about Vail who was beaten up by Erick.

"Brother is fine," Vail informed.

“Too bad, I can't eat the cake from that shop.” Cini wanted to lighten the mood.

"No need to worry, Mr. Cini, my mother can make cakes for us," Rema says.

"The Queen can make cakes?" Rii just found out about this.

"Then we--"

“Hey!”

They looked back, and the waiter whom Rii asked to hold the compensation money came to them carrying a cart containing lots of neatly wrapped cakes.

The person approached pulling his cart.

"Finally found you all." The young man was tired of pulling a cart with quite a large load.

“What's the problem? Is there not enough money?" Rii was curious about the maid's arrival.

"It's not that what was given was more than enough." The young man said.

“I just wanted to give this all as a token of thanks.”

“This is too much, we can only accept three packs of cakes,” Cini said.

“Please accept everything.” The young man asked them to take all the cakes.

“Are you sure? Is it okay to give us a cake?” Vail wanted to be sure.

“No need to worry, my late father was the owner of the shop. And I just carried on.” The young man said.

“Please accept, as a sign of my gratitude. I'm not grateful for the commotion, but if the commotion didn't happen. My wife, me and my two daughter will probably close the shop forever.” The young man said.

"Even though he is very young, he is married and has two children." Cini was surprised.

“Okay, we will accept it. Then here, take it.” Vail turned his back and Cini brought out a sack of gold and gave it to Vail.

The person was surprised that he was given the money back, even though he was already very grateful for the money Rii had given him.

"We've already taken everything along with the cart, what should we do?" Rema is confused.

"I will take a cake that is safe for Rema to consume." Rii took several boxes of non-intoxicating cakes.

"Thank you, Rii." Vail was grateful for Rii's concern.

“Why can't I eat cake with rum? Even though it makes the cake very delicious and addictive.” Rema complained.

“Rum is indeed an ingredient used in cakes, although its effect is not comparable to that of wine. Still, you should not consume it.” Cini told Rema.

"Moreover, we also don't know how much rum is poured into the cake dough. As well as the effect on your body, your brother just doesn't want you to get drunk and high." Rii tells Rema.

“Brother took the cake that has Rum content, cheating!” Rema complained.

"This is for mothers and fathers, Rum will not have a drunken effect on adults who have already drunk arak, but if you drink arak. Big Brother will punish you." Vail tells, and rebukes.

They brought the cake to share with everyone they met on their way to the palace, they also distributed it to the soldiers guarding the border,

The next day, Lina, who had been sent a letter from the palace, arrived with her family.

"Everyone is here, let's get started—"

"Sorry, I'm late." Mansa came on time.

“You came just in time, Mansa. But I want you to tell me information about unity now.” Cini asks Mansa to tell.

“I understand, I'll talk straight.” Mansa doesn't mind being a conversation starter.

“The Union already has two hundred and eighty-seven thousand troops, and every day there are more and more. And currently has twenty million six hundred and sixty-six thousand soldiers.” Mansa told the entire army that all the kings in the united alliance had.

“That is not a small number, can we win now against the ancestors?” Queen Amira wanted to make sure.

“Mother, those people in the union are just taking advantage of the petition under the pretext of a big gift,” Vail told his mother not to be optimistic.

"So what does that mean?" Rema was so curious.

"Princess Rema, the warriors I mentioned just now did not receive special training like real knights," Mansa tells Rema.

"Isn't that the same as leading them to commit suicide?" Runia concluded.

“Exactly as you said, Miss Runia,” Rii confirmed Runia's words.

"King Ligt, can you tell me the number of troops of the Gerna kingdom?" Cini asked King Ligt to tell.

“Gerna has an army of a thousand elite knights, namely all Raseon members. We only accept troops who truly understand the battlefield.” King Ligt informed.

“Demon king Lina, can you tell us?” Cini asks Lina to divulge the secret of her former master's combat power.

“The current numbers, we still can't win. The ancestors will likely attack when we are not ready. Can you get Neii out?” Lina asks Cini to take Neii out.

"I don't mind but what 's wrong?!" Cini wants to know the reason.

“Among us, only Neii knows the ancestor's combat power,” Lina informed.

Without waiting long, Cini immediately brought up a dimensional circle, Neii came out of there so arrogantly and coldly.

"Why do you seem to call me, when you're stuck?" Neii said in a condescending tone to all of them.

“Rema?” Vail was surprised that his clothes were being held by Rema.

“….” One of Vail's hands touched Rema's head, then held Rema's hand. Tells that all will not die.

“Neii, can you tell us the number of soldiers our former master had?” Lina asked Neii to tell.

“Okay, I don't mind. Besides, I feel like fighting the Ancestor, let me join you."

Neii told them, telling them that the power of the ancestors could destroy civilization.

"But at least Ancestor was never serious about doing that, I was also surprised. Then, the ancestors had two trusted generals. One of them you defeated was a hero.”

“You mean, the devil who has horns on his chin?” Mansa wanted to be sure.

“That's right, his strength is below that of a demon king. But above heroes, you were great at being able to kill him when Dorf and he attacked the city of Tars.” Neii was so happy.

“Three demon kings and two demon generals, still given twelve million demon troops. Because only one general remains from the ancestral side, you just have to count how many troops that general has."

“Each of you has a twelve million demon army, meaning…”

Mansa was very surprised to learn that the number of his ancestral troops was still so superior.

"This is like the end of the world, can we win?" Mansa did not expect the size of the ancestral troops.

"Can we win?" Rema also knows that the numbers are so terrible.

"Rema..." Queen Amira couldn't do anything.

“You can win…” A mysterious voice echoed in the room. They could hear so clearly.

"Who are you? Come out!”

They didn't know who the voice belonged to.

“If you believe in bonds. You will win.” The mysterious voice disappeared.

"What does it mean?"

They were all confused. By this mysterious voice, Amira remembered the masked figure she met just when Vail and the others came to the village.

Runia also said it was a masked person, who saved Lina from death while giving birth to her first child.

"I also met a person wearing the same mask as my brother," Rema tells them all.

“Lina almost died?”

Not only Glen, but all of them except Runia were shocked to hear this statement.

"That person asked me not to tell," Runia told about her promise to the mysterious person.

"We won't mind that Miss Runia, the fact that you did it to keep a secret is fine. But, did the masked figure say anything?” Vail didn't mind and wanted to be sure.
