Chapter 47:

Adonis had always thought Aubrey’s mom was alive. Even though he didn't see her anywhere and didn't even hear Aubrey talk about her, Adonis merely thought she was in Seattle. He has never thought she was sick.

“Your mom had been sick?” Adonis demanded in shock.

Aubrey nodded once and looked at Owen. “Will there be any meeting soon?”

Owen looked at Adonis for any secret message to let him know what he was supposed to say. Adonis nodded briefly at him.

“No problem then,” Owen looked at Aubrey and smiled. “ I will inform Doctor Adonis and he would get back to you concerning it,” he finished and turned around to leave.

Aubrey watched him for a moment and suddenly remember that he didn't even ask for her name or her business card. How was he going to get back to her?

"Why haven't you said anything all this while?" Adonis questioned.
