Chapter 5

He’s checking everything from his smallest to biggest thing that he will bring at the Incantatus, today will be the day that he will enter the Incantatus School of Magic. Miss Linda and the other servant will be the ones to send him to the Alley of Magics, where he will be riding the flying train going to the academy.

He’s feeling fascinated and nervous at the same time. Finally, maybe some or almost all of his questions will be answered. He's checking his wand, stroking the elements of it, and the engraving of that exceptional wood. Mr. Nones notified him that once they entered the Incantatus, a guardian will be given to them. 

“Are you ready?” 

He glanced at Miss Linda and nodded his head. He stood up from sitting at the bed and got his stuff, the male servant helped him. 

“Where will we be riding? The pegasus again?” he asked as he put his wand on his coat. 

Miss Linda pressed her lips and shook her head.

“No, we will be riding in a flying carriage this time because you have many things to bring,” she mumbled and pulled him to a hug. He was stunned for a while but hugged Miss Linda back. 

“You will take care there okay?” Miss Linda told him and hold his face, telling him that he needs to keep himself okay and free from harm. 

“I will, Miss Linda,” he mumbled. He saw tears already building up in Miss Linda’s eyes that’s why he immediately laughed. 

“Come on, don’t cry Miss Linda, I will be home for Christmas break so make my favorite dessert, okay?” Miss Linda nodded and wiped her tears that fall. 

He pulled Miss Linda for a tight hug again and they went down because they needed to leave already or else he will miss the train going to Incantatus. Miss Linda doubled checked his things and gave him a picture. It’s his mom and dad, a moving picture again like the one on his cake. 

They entered the carriage and the unicorns flew away from the castle, he waved his hand on the servants that lined up outside the castle. He will miss them, he still doesn’t know what is waiting for him inside the Incantatus. 

Moments later, they arrived at the Alleys of Magic. Many people are already there, mother and father saying goodbye to their son or daughter, kissing them goodbye. Lucky him, he has Miss Linda so he is happy like them.

“If your parents are alive, Zain. They will be so proud of you.” Miss Linda said as she fixed his collars. 

He smiled at the thought of it. What if his parents are the ones sending him here, will it feel different? 

“It’s okay, Miss Linda. I have you anyway.” 

He said and picked up his luggage from the ground, Miss Linda, he, and the other servant walked in the Alley of Magics going to the transportation area. Miss Linda gave her his ticket. 

Flying Train 

Post 23

“What is post 23, Miss Linda?” he asked curiously. Miss Linda smiled at him. 

“It’s the number of the portal, Zain. Let’s go find post 23 and we will enter the portal for you to be able to go to the flying train.” 

They walked and he saw that there are many posts there, leading to different transportation and places in the Victorium. This place will always amaze him because he spent 10 years of his life inside the castle. People are staring at him, some of them are smiling, or look amazed that they saw him. 

When they found Post 23, it’s a huge green hole leading him not knowing where. 

“We are ready, whenever you are,” Miss Linda said and place her hands on his. He breathed deeply and nodded. They walked to the portal and a strong current pulled them. A few seconds later they are standing at a huge train station, and there is the flying train going to the Incantatus. 

"Wow," he told himself. This is amazing, welcome to the world of Victorium Zain Black, he whispered to himself.

Miss Linda kept on speaking that he needs to listen very well when he is on the train, don't easily trust the people around him. But there he is looking around, he didn't mind anymore what Miss Linda is telling her. 

The flying train, the station is filled with magical lights, there are also fairies and other creatures flying. The structure of the station is unimaginable that he can’t explain how beautiful it looks. The whole place screams magic and elegance. He didn’t know that places like this exist at the Victorium. 

He felt a hand on his shoulders. 

“Hey,”

He looked at the man and saw it’s Bill. He wrapped his arms around him immediately. 

“You’re here,” his eyes are twinkling with happiness seeing his big brother. Bill chuckled.

“Yes, I am. I don’t know when will I be able to see you again. I wouldn’t miss this chance.” Bill said and helped him carry his luggage. Miss Linda and the servant are in the back following them. 

“I’ll be home for Christmas, Bill,” he said as he looks at the entrance of the train. The guard of the train told them to board already, the train will already leave in a few minutes. 

Bill didn’t answer him anymore, they both looked at the person in front, fighting. 

“Hey, I was first in line!” the boy said mischievously. 

“No, I was the first one!” the girl said, raising her eyebrows while her hand is pointing at the boy.

He looks at them smiling, he wonders if they are friends, he wanted to be friends with them. He went nearer to them and he tapped the shoulder of the boy. 

“Hello,” he said shyly and waved his hand. The boy looked at him, at first, the boy looks pissed but later on his eyes became big, and cover his mouth like he wanted to shout. 

He immediately steps back because he doesn’t know what the boy will do. 

“OMG, are you Zain Black?” the boy asked loudly, his jaw dropped to the floor. 

“Hey, why are you yelling!” the girl said and slaps the boy’s arm. The girl faced them and the girl also had wide eyes when she sees him but she immediately recovered.

“Zain Black?” the girl asked and pushed the boy away. 

The girl hands out her hand to him. He also hands out his hand and the girl shook their hands. “I am Felicia Hamilton,” Felicia said confidently, chin up. 

He is shy, but he smiled. “Hello, Felicia. I am Zain, it’s nice to meet you!” he happily said. 

The boy he first talked to pushed Felicia away to stand in the middle of the two. The boy gets his hand and shakes it endlessly, with a big wide smile on his face.

“I am Copper Zin!” Copper couldn’t stop grinning and shaking his hands, that’s why he already holds the hand of Copper to stop it from shaking his hand. 

“Hello, Copper please stop shaking my hands already.” he grinned at him awkwardly. Copper immediately stop shaking his hands. Felicia stands beside both of them. 

“Let’s go already or else the train will leave us.” she’s raising her brows while talking. 

“You witch,” Copper hissed at Felicia. He laughed at both of them. He covers his mouth to stop himself from laughing loudly. The two look at him weirded out. 

“Why are you laughing?” Felicia said. He immediately stops laughing because Felicia’s look can kill him anytime if he didn’t stop. 

“Sorry,” he said awkwardly. Copper wrapped his arms around his shoulders. “Don’t mind her, let’s go and board on the train already,” he said and pulled him but he stops first and looks at the back. 

Bill, Miss Linda, and the other servant is smiling widely, they are watching him and he knows that they are happy seeing him gaining new friends for this new adventure. He walks to them and waved his hand. 

“I’ll be going already,” he told them and hugged Bill and Miss Linda one last time before getting his luggage on their hands. 

They just nodded their heads at him, Bill is smiling widely, looking proud of him, Miss Linda is stopping the tears that might fall on her eyes, she keeps looking up to keep them from falling. 

He walks backward, waving his hands on them. Miss Linda is swishing her hands away instructing him to look at the front already. He smiles widely one last time and turns his back to them. 

Felicia and Copper are waiting for him at the train entrance, Copper is smiling widely waving his hands telling him to walk faster and go to them already. Felicia is tapping her feet and crossing her hands already. He walked faster to get to them. 

“Can I seat with you, guys?” he slightly lowered his head when he asked them. 

Copper pulled him already, not answering him, Felicia followed them and they entered a cabin. 

“Sit down! We are now friends!” Copper grinningly said. 

They settled down at the cabin and the train flew minutes later. He looked at the window and his jaw dropped seeing the beautiful views. He can see the big blue river connected to the castle but he can’t see the castle, he also saw the pegasus and unicorns flying around, the whole place is filled with magic that he can’t believe. 

On the way to the Incantatus, he’s looking at the window of the train, watching the beautiful views, he also saw witches and wizards flying using a broom to fly, while the others use cars and the creatures around the Victorium. 

Felicia holds his shoulders, he immediately faced her. 

“Wear your robe already, we are near,” she said and hands him the robe. 

He mumbled thanks and smiled a little. Felicia nodded at her and sat down again. 

In the hallway of the train, he saw a creature. His eyes became big and his mouth formed an O shape. 

“Hello,” he said to the creature that looks like a human, but the creature that he saw is a jury with four feet and they can’t talk to ordinary witches or wizards. The jury has a face, they are the ones guarding the students. 

“We can’t understand them, Zain,” Felicia said as she walks beside him, he still looks fascinated by the creature that stopped in front of their cabin door. 

“But I can hear him, I understand him. He greeted me back.” he confusingly said to Felicia.  Felicia looked at him with wide eyes, looking so shocked at what he said. 

“Don’t you ever tell anyone what you told us, okay?” Felicia said to him, pointing her finger at him. He steps back and immediately nods. Felicia is somewhat intimidating but that’s how she brings herself. They both sat down, Copper is just eating his food, he brought some snacks with him. While him, he just became more curious why he can't tell anyone that he can talk to the creatures at the Victorium. 

"Felicia," he called her. Felicia looked at him, raising her eyebrows. He hesitated to ask first.

"What?" Felicia said and look back at the book that she's reading. 

"Why?" he whispered. 

Copper looked at him and shook his head at him, "Just don't tell anyone. We will keep this to ourselves, okay?" he said and ate his food again. 

He looked at Felicia and Felicia nods at him, he just kept quiet and looked back at the window to watch again the beautiful view. He sighed deeply as he thinks of it. Moments later, they felt the train is going down already and slowly, meaning that they almost arrived at their destination. 

He saw the signage. 

Incantatus School of Magic 

But he didn't see any school or building around. "We still need to ride a unicorn going their Zain, this is just where the train stops," Felicia said and opened the door of their cabin, going out already. He and Copper followed Felicia.
