False alarm

"Just a moment Ken. Please!" Miranda implored and hurried after him.

After their class for the day ended around 1 pm, Ken took the route that led to the college library and Miranda followed him so she could pull him to a corner for a conversation.

Ken kept taking rushed steps toward the library. He didn't stop or turn back to look at her. As far as he was concerned, she was now pure evil and he needed to stay away from her.

She ran after him and was about to grab his shirt in her bid to force him to turn around when he turned to face her with a clenched jaw. "Stop running after me like some damn parasite."

She sighed and tried to get closer to him but Ken drifted backward.

"Would you please listen to me?"

Ken arched a brow. "Listen to you? After all the madness you displayed the other day at the restaurant?" He shook his head and glared at her. "If I ever had any respect for you then I want to let you know that it's all gone, Miranda. Only a hooligan would pull out the activities you
