It was almost dusk, Aidan had numerous thoughts going on in his mind. Today is his and his wife's wedding anniversary, and he dearly wished to see her. It's almost a year since he had a tragic accident that almost took his life. He is alive, but he lost his right to see, his world was in pitch darkness.

His wife brought him to her family's house, so they'll care for him properly there, though his in-laws who used to adore him before now treated him like a rejected seed, the servants in the house are treated better than him.

A hand tapped him and shook him from his thoughts, he guessed who it was, “Jonas, done with planting the seeds?” He inquired.

“Yes, in a few months, we should be blessed with their magnificent views and smell,” Jonas replied, taking a seat next to him. He'd grown fond of Aidan since day one, despite being blind, Aidan got this remarkable sense of his environment and he commands immense respect from people around him, except of course his in-laws.

They've made life miserable for him ever since their daughter dumped him here several months ago. To Aidan, his wife is doing him favors, but one can't blame him. He loves his wife dearly, so he can't see anything wrong in what she does with him. In his view, his wife loves him dearly.

“Do you have anything more to do?” Aidan asked Jonas.

“Not really, it's almost bedtime for me, I'm an early bird when it comes to sleeping early.” He replied, smiling.

“Would you do me a favor before you retire tonight?” Aidan asked.

Jonas smiled, and looked at him. He already knows what favor Aidan needs, he'd been talking about his wedding anniversary for weeks, and he mentioned getting a gift for his lovely wife. He was a business genius before he had an accident that took his sight. Furthermore, he wished his wife would love him the way he does, then perhaps, his life would have little joy.

“You want me to take you to your wife's place, right?” Jonas asked him in a gentle voice.

Aidan smiled, searched for Jonas's hands, and said, "you always know what I want before I voice it out.”

“You should smile a lot, Aidan, it suits your beautiful face.” Said Jonas, jokingly, patting the hands that he placed on his.

“Here we go again, about the feminine attributes. Stop using beautiful, Jonas.” He said, laughing cautiously.

“You're a beauty, had you been a girl, I'd have considered having you as a concubine.”

“You never really talked about family, don't you wish to have one, Jonas.”

Jonas remained silent for a moment and then asked in return. “Don't you ever consider leaving here and starting a new life? Your in-laws aren't treating you well, and I'm sure you're aware of this.”

Aidan face paled slightly, and he stood up, pain evident in his visage,” I've been an orphan for as long as I can remember Jonas, I was told by the orphanage that I was found by the sea shore with nothing in me except a mysterious marking on my left breast and this pendant.” He said, bringing it out from his clothes.

“I never really had a good childhood, at the age of 18, I had to leave the orphanage to live a world of my own. I struggled and enrolled myself in one of the best universities in the state, luckily for me, I won a scholarship.” He took a few slight steps forward, pain reverberating through his body as he remembered all his life's struggles.

Jonas stood up and took a few strides to meet with him. Aidan is one magnificent creature, Jonas managed to reach his shoulder blade in height despite not lacking in height, “I mean no harm to you, Aidan, I'm just worried about you.” He said.

“I understand Jonas, you'll never wish me bad. Arissa is the best part of life that has ever happened to me, I don't mind enduring a few pains to be with her.”

Jonas already knew he loved his wife dearly, but he can't help but stare at this man in utter bewilderment.

“The Pedros are doing me a favor by keeping me here, I'm a blind man, I can't do anything to help them, and yet, they accept me.” He continued.

“When Arissa proposed to me at the university, I was hesitant due to my status compared to hers, but I was stunned to know that her parents approved our union. I'm genuinely grateful to them for accepting me, so I'll see nothing wrong in how they treat me.” He stopped talking and asked Jonas to get ready and take him to his wife's house. Jonas guided him out of the open and took him inside.

“Get ready, sweetheart, he's coming. Make no mistake this time.” Mrs. Pedro came out in the open smirking, she seemed to have been listening to the two men's conversation.” This time around, there won't be any mistakes, I'll see to that myself.” She swore and walked away.

“Here we are.” Jonas declared upon reaching the entrance of Arissa's house.

“Thank you, Jonas, I'll take it from here. I am looking good, right?” He asked.

“You'll look good even in rags. You're beautiful in this tuxedo.”

“Stop being a pest and give me the gift.” Jonas said, stretching his hand.

“Here you go, be careful, what's inside the bag costs a fortune.” Jonas warned, handing the bag to him.

“Nothing is too big for my woman. Don't bother coming back, I'm spending the night.” He said, walking into the already opened gate. He'd confirmed that she was in, and it won't take him more than five minutes to locate her, he knows the house in the palm of his hand.

He met the servants, and he was told that she was in the bedroom. Had he been able to see, he'd have been able to see the pitiful expression of the servants.

He neared the bedroom and was hearing noises. Not just any noises, or sexual moans. His heart became restless as sweats grew on his forehead.

He struggled and moved forward, each step slow and shaky.

Then he heard the cat-like moans. Arissa moans. He could identify his wife's moans anywhere, she has this deep-throated moan that came out as a meow.

Is Arissa cheating on him? Is she masturbating?

His instinct goes in line with the second option, it's been months since he'd gotten intimate with her, and he can't accept the truth about the first thought.

He opened the bronze metal door and walked in, then he heard something that shattered his soul. A man's groan, not in pain, but pleasure.
