Chapter 10. Fellow Mage Friend

Along with Thomas, Veronica continued to walk on the paving block road of Mirage Academy to the third dormitory. Not only was there a class difference between elemental and unique talents but also a significant difference in the dormitories that the academy students lived in.

"There are only 100 people accepted into the academy in total. Every year, the number remains the same," Veronica explained.

"So, am I one of the 100?" asked Thomas.

"If you already know the class you're in, then you're in," Veronica explained.

"But why? Don't I have a unique talent? They could have accepted all the prospective students with elemental talents instead of unique," replied Thomas.

"There needs to be a balance between the alpha and beta classes. They certainly don't want to put elementally talented students into the beta class because the beta class is meant for those with unique talents," Veronica replied.

Thomas sighed softly with both hands folded before his chest, "Your words hurt, but it's okay.
