CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE

“Eliza, I need you to come down, I know this is a lot to take in, but do chill and think before making a decision,” Trevor spoke as Eliza paced up and down in the room.

“But what do you suggest I do? I can’t lose that company, Trevor. I just can’t. Grandfather trusted me with it,” she spoke and stopped pacing.

He sat there quietly, thinking about what she just told him. How she could stand a chance of losing the company when he did everything he could to buy the shares for the company?

But by what she told him, there was a possibility of her losing that company.

“Eliza, it’s you company, and you are allowed to do whatever you so want with it,” he spoke. “And besides, you and Jackson will be married soon. Isn’t that what you wanted? I’m sure you can work something out. I’m not in your way anymore,” he spoke casually, as if what he just said was supposed to be said. Normal to be said.
