FAKE MONEY!

Surprise struck Robert like a lightning bolt. What had Ivannah just said?

Fake? That couldn't be. He blinked rapidly, trying to focus on her. He had painstakingly changed the dollars into smaller denominations, as carrying a thousand dollars as a student seemed absurd. He had converted them into two hundred-dollar bills, and now he was being accused of using fake currency.

Gasps rippled through the crowd as Ivannah's men approached to inspect the money. Each man who touched it turned back and threw Robert a menacing glare that said, "You try to deceive us, and you're dead meat!"

It took Ivannah some time to verify that all the money was indeed counterfeit. She raised her eyebrows at Robert, glaring at him with anger.

"You dare to deceive me?" she sneered, handing the stack of fake money back to her accountant.

"I'm sorry, ma'am," the lady pleaded, but Ivannah wasn't listening.

"Place the money on my desk and pack up your things. You're fired, sweetheart
