“I’m sorry, Mr Dario,” Doctor Samuel said, approaching Dario with his expression etched with a mix of confusion and surrender. “I sincerely want to express my deepest condolences to you and Sir Bruce in advance, because to be honest, there’s no way Maria is going to make it.”

Dario was raging inside but he kept quiet and listened.

The doctor paused, gathering his thoughts before continuing. “I want you to know that I spared no effort in trying to diagnose and treat Maria’s condition. I conducted every test imaginable, consulted specialists around the world that I personally know, but I still couldn’t determine the cause, talk less of being able to treat her.”
