Michael’s father was conflicted on whether to accept the apology and the plea being given to him or to ignore it and sign his document.

He didn’t want to do it, but Michael hadn’t been the best at work. He hated what he was about to do just as much as the next guy but he had to be tough on his son if he was going to have something to call a company at the end.

“Please dad,” pleaded Michael not giving up. “I promise to change. I’ll keep aside any distraction I can and try to…”

“Try?” the man said with a raised brow. “I don’t need anyone to try anything Michael, I need you to either do it or not.”

“I’ll do it!” yelled Michael taking up his father’s words. “Forgive my language.”

The man looked at his wife and the lawyer who nodded.

“Fine,” the man sighed. “But one more break, one more mistake, one more step out of line and you’re out, do you hear me?”

“Yes, sir,” Michael breathed, easily knowing he had incurred one more shot at keeping his place at the company.

“Now, this calls for a cel
