Rain

The ministers all stood up in shock at Elijah's bold statement.

They each exchanged incredulous looks amongst themselves.

One of them stepped forward, shaking his head in disbelief. "Arthur Smith, with all due respect, bringing rain is an impossible feat. You cannot make water fall from the sky."

"Yeah, that's just wishful thinking," another minister chimed in. "We've been praying for rain for six years, but nothing has changed. How can you possibly claim to have such power?"

Elijah listened to their words of doubt in silence, his expression unreadable.

When they had finished speaking, he spoke again.

"Very well," Elijah said, his eyes locking with each minister in turn. "If you doubt my abilities, then let us make a bet."

The ministers exchanged uncertain glances, intrigued by Elijah's proposal.

"What kind of bet?" one of them asked, curiosity piqued.
