Everyone drank a healing potion. Actually this game is good. The wounds are close to being as like the real ones. And healing potions. They help in instant recovering of wounds. But if body parts are torn apart, you'll have to go to a doctor. They are usually NPCs, but sometimes some players can also become a doctor. There are many professions in this virtual world. But those professions are given to you by the SYSTEM. It is the AI of this game. Or the God for the NPCs. 

It tests your capabilities and gives you the profession. It is usually given after second missions. 

After completing the mission, we were transported back to our base. It was not some fancy base. You know. A base in those zombie movies. A town hall like building in the center, many houses around which is completely surrounded by those huge ass walls. Patrols by NPCs. You have to pay them Rcoins. Which is usually paid by the leader. 

Well anyways, When we reached the town hall, I was shown my room. This room is so that my body in game can use to rest and recover. It is a safe place. No one can kill you here. Unless you are in a combat zone. And combat zone occurs when you are in a war. You cannot log out from the game. The room was simple with one cot and a table. I said my goodbyes to everyone first then laid on the cot and then I logged out. 

The gaming pod slid open. I checked my watch. 8pm.Damn I spent about 6 hours but it didn't feel like 6 hours. 

I checked my phone. Shit. 12 calls of Aunt. I'm a goner. I grabbed my belongings. Carefully locked the warehouse. I took my bike and was on my way to Aunt's house. 

Shit. I am going to be late.I'm sure Janet (my aunt) 

will kick me out of the house. 

I ride my bike faster. I reached home nearly at 8:30 after buying some food. Coz I am sure, I won't be getting some from home. 

Lights were off inside the house. Oh they must be asleep. I am relieved. I took out the key, and opened the door. I was just about to open the door of my room, when I heard Janet saying, "You have got some guts, brat. Coming home late. "

I didn't replied. If I had replied, she would just speak more. Truth be told, I'm not in a mood to be yelled at. She yelled, "You, son of a bi*ch, how dare you. You are eating from my house and you are ignoring me. "I thought, 'Yeah, it's not like my parents left money for me, but you bi*ch snatching away my money and treating me as a servant. If I were to get out of here, you wouldn't be getting anything. " I snickered unknowingly while I was thinking. She fumed and was about to slap me. But then came someone I didn't expect. 

I hugged her, totally ignoring Janet. Yeah it was not like I was not ignoring her before. Man I am so happy. I asked, "When did you come back ?"

She replied, "Well.. At 6 . I was expecting you to pick me up. But you never came. "

She is Janet's daughter, she is just a year younger than me . She is the only person who cared about me, since childhood. Her name is Valerie. I call her val. She went to an university for further studies when she was 17.Oh...That must be why aunt was calling on my phone. Shit. 

"I... I didn't know you were going to come. Aunt called me but I didn't pick up because I was busy. "

She pinched my cheeks and said, "I missed you so much, cuddle bear. "

I groaned that was the name she used to call me when we were kids, "Stop it.We are not kids now. I am a man now. "

Janet fumed and went back to her room. Her door was closed with a bang. 

Val said, "Come on, my man. Time for dinner. "

I groaned internally. But still I am very happy. 

"Well I bought pizzas, I knew that Janet would not give me food. Unless you are here and I didn't know you were here. So. "

Val cheered, "Good.Good.Pizza.We will share alright. "

I replied , "Mhmm"

We ate and chat for the whole night. I came to know that she came first in her class. She is a genius. I had full faith that she would be first. 

Before going to bed she said, "I bought you a gift. Since I didn't gave you one at your birthday. I bought a game capsule for you. " I froze. 

Val was worried now.She asked, "What is it ? "

I replied awkwardly, "Well.. It is that I had bought one just today. " She didn't spoke. I knew she was sad. It was to be my birthday gift. I'm a dumb guy. 

I got an idea. I asked her, "Hey, do you play Reborn Online ?"

To which she replied, "No.I don't have a capsule. I couldn't afford to buy two. So I bought one for you. "

"You know what. You keep this capsule with you. I already have one. And about birthday gift. I would not want anything, if you could just spend more time with me. So how about this, you'll play with me everyday. That would be my gift. "

She cried. And tackled me into a hug. Then she kissed softly on my cheeks and went back to sleep. I know she had agreed. But I don't know why but I felt something different. I don't know why. 

I am tired from fighting that monster. It was a game but still I'm tired. 

No need to ponder over it. Just sleep.
