After some time, we saw the majestic view of Narva Kingdom.

"That is the Narva Kingdom, the capital is called Lithe." Elena happily introduced the kingdom

I think the wall surrounding the city is 50 meters high. From here you can see a sturdy gigantic wooden gate on the entrance with two towers on each side which housed many soldiers.

One can say it's served as a watchtower.

Apparently, there are 3 gates in the kingdom with two towers on each gate that faced three nations surrounding the Kingdom.

They are called North Gate faced the Fyn Kingdom, South Gate faced on Ruel Empire and West Gate faced the Vitalis Kingdom.

There is no gate that faced the Great Forest of Yorel since the road from there intersected on the road on South Gate.

"Mr. Jin, I'm still amazed how you defeat that demon bear in just three seconds," Elena said happily

"Lady Elena, you can just call me by my name. No need to address me in that way." Jin awkwardly said.

"If that's what you wish, then Jin. With your might, you can easily rank up if you register in Adventurers Guild." Elena

"You think so? I guess I just got lucky haha." Jin

"No, I don't think it counts as being lucky. Anyway, do you really want to register on the Guild?" Elena sounds regretful

"Yes, it can't be helped. I need a job so I can get by." Jin

I think this is the right time to offer her a job proposal.

"Good luck then, it's a shame. If only you can be part of my family Knight Order." Elena

This time, I can say that she's regretful about my decision. Little did she knows; I want to be part of her family's soldier. But now she mentioned Knight Order? It's better than being a bodyguard.

"Uhm, Lady Elena, if that's the case. I take this opportunity if I can be your family's soldier or guard." Jin sounds nervous.

"REALLY?! You want to be my guard?" Elena sounds shocked.

Huh? I said guard nor your "personal" guard. Whatever it's good that I can be her guard. Since she is noble, she is a walking information treasure.

"Yes, if it's okay with you haha." Jin

"Yes, it's okay! I'm glad! But being my guard hmm. I think it's better if you become part of the Knight Order." Elena

"Knight Order? What does it do?" Jin

Though I have a hunch of what would it be it's better to know from her.

"Basically, our Knight Order is called Falcon. So, it's Falcon Knight Order. They defend the castle that my family owns. While all the soldiers defend the villages and cities that my father governs."

I get the gist of it, but the pros I can get are too few. I still prefer to be her guard

"I get it, but to be part of Falcon Knight Order. Will your family approve of it? If it's okay with you Lady Elena, I still prefer to be your bodyguard." Jin said nervously

When I look at Elene, she seems flustered?

"W-what?? Are you sure? Why?" Elena said nervously while her hand covered her mouth.

"Ah ah, I don't mean anything by it. Since I feel indebted to you, I want to protect you from any harm." Jin hurriedly said due to Elena's cheeks color becoming red.

"Eh? Is that so? Well, if you really prefer it to be my bodyguard. I don't have a problem with it. But my father will thoroughly investigate and trained you." Elena

Yes! At last. The only worry I have is passing the training and the investigation.

"Don't worry about the investigation regarding your past, I can talk to my father about that. Just pass the training and everything will be good." Elena

When I look at her, Lady Elena is really beautiful and I think her age is around 17 or 18?

"Well, if you pass the training, you will study with me at the Academy since you will be my guard," Elena said while her hand covered her mouth.

"Study? Are you sure?" Jin

"Yes, it's no problem. Since most of the nobles have a personal guard accompanying them inside the Academy for their safety. And father would be glad." Elena said happily.

Study. This world is the same as earth. 12 months a year, 7 days a week, and 24 hours a day.

"Ah don't worry. You will be a student in the academy and our lessons will be from Monday to Friday. Saturday and Sunday will be our rest days. But, if there's an urgent matter, you will be called to accompany me even on your rest day. I hope it's okay for you. Ah, and your payment will be a little higher compared to some knights since you are my personal guard." Elena

I instantly feel happy when I heard the word pay.

It's good that all my question was answered by her without me voicing them. She's really smart huh.

My work schedule is good. Saturday will be my day for Adventurers guild and Sunday will be my real rest day.

Though I don't want to stand out that much, I need to secure my influence. That influence will be my key to gathering a lot of vital information that's why being part of the Adventurers guild is a must.

A lot of people are lining up at the gate while the soldiers are thoroughly inspecting everyone's belonging.

When our carriage stops at the front gate, one soldier knocks on the wooden door.

"Greetings to Haynes Nobility. Apologies for stopping you here, but can we see the inside of the carriage?" Soldier

Elena opens the windowpane.

Seeing this, Captain Klein opens the door of the carriage.

"Pardon us." Soldier.

The soldier looks at Elena first before shifting his gaze to me.

When he noticed that everything is good. He bows his head and orders the soldier to let us pass.

The villagers fall in line since they are not part of the noble family.

Elene is kind enough to escort them and secure their safety during their travels. All the villagers once again give respect to Elena.

When our carriage passed the big wooden gate. Elena fully opens the windowpane for us to sightsee.

I can't help but be amazed.

I am really in the late modern era. The houses are the same as what I saw during my school years in my past life.

Most of the people from the current era on earth will say that the house from this era is shabby.

But from where I sit, a big no. The houses are decorated in the simplest way which made them more pleasing to the eyes.

The streets are in order, people are walking on the sidewalk while carriages freely use the main road.

Children are happily playing in a nearby park while some of the adults are talking to each other on every sidewalk.

"It seems that our mighty Jin is amazed on the Lithe City." Elena bashfully teases me

"Well, it's really pleasing on the eyes haha." Jin

"There are a lot of beautiful places here in Lithe City. I suggest you go to Central Plaza in your free time. Though the people are buzzing, you can't call it crowded since the central plaza is wide. Various and famous shops are also located there." Elena happily told me everything I need to know in Lithe City.

Apparently, the citizen of Narva Kingdom is not limited to a specific place. They can move everywhere in the city except to private property of the royal family and nobles.

This means, that the normal citizen can socialize with kind nobles who view them as their human equals. Of course, not in social standing. They are just kind to let some of the citizens talk to them if they have questions or whatnot.

Whenever the citizen saw a noble on the street, they will bow their head to give respect.

You also can't erase the fact that some nobles oppose the law that the normal citizen can walk freely in the Narva Kingdom.

Though there is one specific place where the normal citizen can't set foot, build, or own a house unless they are rich enough to rival the wealthy nobles.

That place is called Aristocrat Domain.

The Aristocrat Doman covered ¼ of the whole Narva Kingdom.

To easily picture this, Narva Kingdom is just your average small country but not your normal country and only have one City which is called Lithe that covers ¾ of the whole country which surrounds by the majestic wall.

Usually, the kingdom or nation only occupy and the small land as its capital city and build more city around it. But the Narva kingdom is not since the Lithe city cover ¾ of the whole country.

Inside the Lithe City, ¼ of the land is owned by Nobles, the other ½ is owned personally by Royal Family which is where the Royal Palace stands. The ¼ of the land is owned by the citizen.

There are many villages just outside the Lithe City which are governed by Nobles.

The Nobles appoint the Mayor or Chief of each village to secure the peace and order, they also provide their soldiers to protect it. There are kind nobles who protect the welfare of their people by sending a portion of their Knight Order.

Each family noble has its Knight Order just like Elena's family.

Narva Kingdom is not bad. The Royal Family is good enough to care for the welfare of the citizen. Some nobles also protect their subjects.

After some time passed, the carriage stops at the mansion owned by Elena's Family.

Well, I guess I can stay here for the rest of my life.
