The mother hugged her son tightly.

"Mom *sniff* I don't want to part from brother*sniff*."

A cute 8-year-old girl said with tears as she clenched Orion's shirt sleeves.

"Saria, you will see your brother soon. Don't worry..."

An extremely handsome man said, patting his daughter's head.

"Orion...we have a gift for you."

"Gift ?" Orion asked with glistening eyes.

Moving away from Orion, the mother smiled and took out a box from her pocket.

Taking the box from his mother's hand, he opened it and saw a beautiful silver chained pendant with a metallic blue ring hanging on it.

"I-It's for me...?" Orion asked as tears poured out.

He was sad that his family left him alone for a week and happy that he got a gift.

"Yes dear. It was yours in the first place... but it was in bad shape, so your father and I bought a new chain and your sister cleaned the ring with care." She said while stroking Orion's head.

"R-Really thank you mom!"

Orion cried as he hugged his mother and she hugged him back.

"Thank you dad!" He hugged his father.

"You're welcome my son." His father hugged him back with a smile.

"Thank you Saria, you are really the best little sister!"

He finally hugged Saria.

"Hehe you are also the best big brother!" She hugged him back with her tiny hands.

"Okay, now we will leave, we are late..."

Orion's mother took Saria away, otherwise it would never end. After that, she took out the pendant from the box.

The leader walked slowly to him.

Orion wasn't their friend to begin with and, more importantly than him, was their own life and their friends' ones.

Reaching Orion, the leader caught his shirt and lifted him up with his right hand.

"P-please..." Orion continued to plead with a bloodied face for his pendant but was ignored.

With his left hand, the leader tore away the pendant from the back of Orion's neck.

"Aargh!" Orion groaned.

A red thread of blood formed on his neck from the forceful tearing of the pendant.

The blue metallic ring fell on the ground from the broken chain. The leader threw Orion away, who let another pained groan.

"You said it was your dead family's pendant, huh ?"

The leader asked as he picked up the ring from the ground.

"Give me a knife." He ordered, and one of his six mates rushed to give it to him.

"No." Shaking his head, he put the ring on the ground.

"Put the blade of the knife on the ring."

"Yes boss!"

His mate understood quickly what his boss wanted to do, so he put the blade on the ring while gripping hard the handle of the knife.

"Wh-what are you doing..."

Orion on the ground asked fearfully.

"Look at your precious memento!" Rising his feet, he kicked the blade down.

"Wa-wait!" Orion shouted as he heard the cracking sound of the ring.

The leader ignored him and continued.

"Pretty hard ring, huh!"

"No." The leader raised his feet higher.

Orion saw in slow motion the two parts of the former ring jumping in the air from the shock and falling on the ground.

The classmates of Orion were shocked to see what was happening. It was truly cruel.

Only the Hawkins brothers, Andrew and Ryan, didn't have a change of emotion. In brief, they didn't care. The others all showed different reactions.

Aura, Elena and the others girls were crying. Anna was fuming in anger and Sienna was looking at the scene coldly like usual but her friend Claire knew that she was very angry.

Austin and the others guys averted their gazes.

The leader turned away from Orion, who was staring blankly at the broken ring.

"Our bus will come soon so..."

His face was a mask of blood, the same as his clothes. More importantly, his black eyes were lifeless and extremely cold.

Orion turned his gaze toward the man near him who was holding the knife a minute ago.

The man shivered uncontrollably and a warm liquid flowed out of his pants.
