A group of tomb raiders, turning to immortality, influenced by the devil who’s determined to end the existence of god, is willing to go to all the limits, just to fulfill his desire for unlimited power.

"Why did you keep Zale in the group, my lord? He keeps breaking out of your control." A deep, manly voice echoed in this dark red valley. There were merely two to three alive beings present here except the devil and his right-hand man, Addon. Each of them waiting for their end.

After a long slow wait, the Devil finally replied, " He is important for the group. Others won't be able to find their way to the palace alone. And the rest, if left unattended, will kill 'someone important' for my plan to proceed." The devil spoke slowly, giving importance to every single word that came out of his mouth. His voice was deep as the deepest ocean, giving chills to the listeners. His voice felt evil enough to stop you from sleeping straight for weeks. 

"Our plan will be reinforced soon. The wait of years will end in the next 7 days." Devil still spoke in a low voice but this time it had more emotions of resentment, hatred, excitement, and evilness all in a single line. 

"Keep an eye on everyone's movements. Let me know if anything at all is off. We must finish our task as soon as possible. It is the best time to end the god."

"End the god? I am sorry, my lord, to interfere, but this little brain is unable to understand how some insignificant creatures can help you, the devil lord, to accomplish something so big?"

"Addon, there's a lot you still need to learn."

"I'll try my best, my lord. I won't disappoint you."

"The existence of god is all for human's need. As long as humans will still believe in god, god will exist. But right now, human hearts are filling with evilness. Just a small population of people do believe in god, but a weak thread merely just holds that belief. If we break that thread, it would be an end for him."

It is a rainy day. This rain gives a perfect view to look at in this mountainous area. Berry was standing by the window of a room on the 2nd floor of this abandoned building, looking at the scenery. This is what he does most of the time, after his grandfather's death. 

An off-road car came with the speed of lightning and suddenly pulled breaks in front of this abandoned building. Four people got out of the car; three had old wicked uncle vibes, but one looked more like a professor.

Berry knows what they are here for. But his mental instability sometimes made him think like a small kid. Instead of preparing for escape or some other options to save himself, he found it interesting that a professor was with a group of tomb raiders.

'I guess even the animals found it interesting. Maybe that is the reason dogs are wandering around them with wagging tails.' He thought to himself.

'I think the one with the scar on the forehead is the boss. Then that professor guy must be the brain of this gang. I am sure that the rest of the two are just legs and arms here.'

He kept staring at them curiously until he realized that these people were already at the door. He panicked a little and tried to run. When he reached the back door after running down all the stairs, he smelled something creepy. The smell of the dead. Now he understood why those dogs were so attracted to these people. 'They must be just back from a tomb.'

Archer, the working man of the group, along with the leader, Orion, was already standing outside the back door. Whereas Liam and Zale entered through the front door. Berry had no hope of escaping.

"Ooh! Where are you trying to go?" He just kept looking at them. 'I knew it. These arms of the group are the ones who speak rudely. Now the leader should be the speaking.'

Archer broke open the door, and it hit Berry.

"What are you doing Archer? Didn't I tell you not to hurt people?" Orion looked at Archer with a smirk.

Yup, Berry's guess was right. It is the leader who spoke next.

"Are you ok? Sir?" Orion still had that smirk with no smile in his eyes. Zale, the one looking like a professor, kept standing at the side while examining the surroundings and looking at his colleagues acting all mighty in front of a weak person.

Berry is still just looking at them. He is super smart but has a hard time doing small things, which other people do without any problem.

"You know what we are here for, right?" Orion changed his tone to a harder one.

Berry just shook his head in no. He knows what they are here for. His grandfather told him something before dying. He told him a story and ever since then; he sees weird things in his dreams and even in reality sometimes. Just yesterday, he saw a small boy stabbing someone in front of his eyes. He would have believed that this was real if they were not wearing Ming dynasty-era clothes. The boy had some torn, shredded, and dirty clothes covering very little of his body, and the one who was being stabbed had an innocent face. He had some royal clothes on. It looked so real that he sometimes felt that he was seeing the past. But at the same time, he was well aware of his mental condition, so he concluded that those were all illusions.

"Ok, in that case, I'll tell you what we want. Just tell us what you know about the king of immortals." 

Berry still kept looking at them. He wanted to speak, but his illness was acting up. His throat felt tight, and he felt sudden palpitations in his heart. He clasped his chest to feel better. He needed his medicine, but it was upstairs.

Zale pushed those three aside and held Berry's hand.

"It's ok, it's ok, no one is hurting you, everything is all right, calm down, calm down. " Berry was not scared, but Zale's voice was so soothing that it made him feel better. He was back in his body, and his body was back in his control.

Zale helped him sit on a stair and sat beside him, still rubbing his hands.

'As expected from the brain, he seems to be a good person.'

"I fe..feel better n...now. Thank you."

"It's ok."

"What we....were you talking abo...ut?"

"We just wanted to know about the immortal king, can you help us?" Zale spoke softly, but Berry knew that if he didn't speak, they'll soon offer him money, and that's what he needs now.

It was as if Zale read his mind. Immediately, he offered money.

"We can even pay you for it. Just tell us all you know."

Orion knew what Zale was doing, and although he felt impatient, but he knew that he won't be able to do anything without Zale. While the arm and legs i.e., Archer and Liam, were just staring at them. All they are here for is money, so they don't care about what others do.

"Berry's eyes lit up, "I'll tell yo...u but you have to pay me." His stuttering was cooling down slowly. Berry was not a stammerer, but whenever he had a sudden relapse of his illness, he stammered for a while.

"Ok, how much?" Zale looked so calm that Berry even forgot about others standing around.

"50,000."

"50,000? Huh, we can get a complete guide on that? Orion's patience broke down at the price. They don't even know if the story is going to be real, but 50,000 for that is still not worth it. Zale lightly gestured for him to stay silent and continued with his deal"

"Then, can you help us find his palace as well?"

Berry nodded in yes. He knew that if he didn't agree, then they'll beat him to know the story. Orion and the other two also found their places to sit and waited for Berry to start his tale.
