Chapter 1

The sun rose steepily, it had a frown on its bright face, and scorched at anything it got his eyes on. Possibly, something must have troubled her sleep, and so she vents her anger on everything the earth had.

At the interim of the country stood a mansion that was glorious and magnificent to behold. It could be used as a tourist attraction as it had beautiful sceneries.

The alarm on the fifth floor of this mansion rang nosily, and a young man could be seen groaning. He had his face covered with a pillow and his legs thudding on the bed.

His room was large enough to fit in for a sitting room, as only his room occupied the entire fifth floor.

At last, he jolted from the bed with boggy eyes and then cussed at the alarm. A clap left his hands and immediately, servants began to troop into his room.

They were 12 in numbers and lined up vertical before him. His eyes scrutinized their outfit and a silent scoff escaped his lips.

"Why are you late?" He stuttered almost dozing off but then a servant hastily ran to hold him from falling back to the bed.

The rest servants gave a slight bow and pleaded for mercy. He smirked at them and then intended to rub his eyes but then another servant hurried to massage his eyelid.

He intended to sneeze, and another servant placed her hand under his nostrils to sneeze out mocus while the forth servant brought a napkin to wipe off his nose.

They had everything done for him, brushing of his teeth, bathing him, dressing him up and other personal hygienes that was meant to be done by himself.

From the looks of it, he was just a spoilt brat who knows nothing but chaos. He beckoned on the servants attending to him to step back so that he could make his finally speculations.

It was like though they knew what was coming and was prepared for the heartbreak.

"They were just a minute late, Louis, how could you have fired the newly recruit?" Damian complained as he had come to solicitate for the servants.

He had ventured for Louis's room immediately he heard the news that some servants had been fired again.

It happens every week and so it was best the servants around here doesn't get to his bad book. They had to perfect in everything they do especially keeping up with time.

There was no response from the latter as he strides away from the former and halted in front of the mirror.

"Louis..."

"It's Mister Louis, Damian, get that into your brain" the latter barked tugging his hands into his pyjamas and yawning.

Damian scoffed in disbelief, it hurt him to call his half brother "mister" just because Louis was his father's favorite.

"You shouldn't have done that..."

"I don't have an appointment with you today, Damian, next time when you come into my room, show me your pass card" he bragged with an evil smile at the former who gave him a quick glare.

Pride, that was all Louis had and he treated his stepbrother like garbage along with his stepmother.

It was obvious he was bringing up enemies in this way but who could defeat such a man?

Damian swallowed hard and left because it was no use trying to convince this brother of his. As for Louis, being in control was all he loved doing that's because he termed himself, superior to Damian in all ways except through age.

The servants who placed their hope on Damian had to let it fade because if the supreme god in this mansion approves of Louis's decisions, who was Damian a mere figure head to object.

"Some day Louis, you would regret your decisions over me" Damian muttered in his heart as his glare caused his eyes to blaze red with hatred.

The former slammed the door, exhaled sharply and then trod to his study room, here he found his mother arranging book in the library.

There was no smiles in her eyes and when she sighted Damian, she halted and then snapped her fingers.

His appearance could tell that he was hurt for the morning. Of course, he always had pains whenever he meet with Louis.

"When will it commence?" He beckoned and his mother chuckled then flip the book in her hand on the table.

"Does that mean you're in?" She suddenly muttered with a devious smile.

"I'm ready, to be the heir"

He would have said that a long time rather than delaying in his choice. Her son had a heart of gold that he couldn't harm anyone not even the man that makes his life miserable.

No matter how hard he tries to win his father's trust, Louis always comes in the way but now, damian had a change of mind.

From now on, he needed to turn the table around to favour him even though a life would be eliminated.

His mother had always tried to turn him against his stepbrother but it wasn't working as it was obvious she didn't like Louis who often mocked at her.

It would be an honor to finally see her son been termed as the successor of this household and teach Louis his place.

"I would have secretary Kim to take care of the paperworks, all you have to do to adhere to my instructions" she whispered in a cold tone.

"I'm ready for anything mother" He pronounced clenching his fist and quivering at heart because he knew how deadly his mother could be when it comes for the quest of the visita company and everything other benefits attached to it.
