Arrogant and entitled, the young master sneered as he surveyed the shabby apartment complex. He looked down on the landlord who owned the property, regarding him with disdain and contempt.
Clicking his tongue in disgust, he scoffed at the run-down appearance of the building. It was clear that he saw himself as superior to everyone around him - after all, only lowborn and undeserving individuals would be willing to rent a place like this.
"Well what are you waiting for stupid trash? Are you going to sell me the apartment or what!?"The young master glared at the landlord, his eyes filled with hostility and disrespect. He sneered at him as he crossed his arms over his chest, clearly intent on causing trouble for the poor man. He was rich, and the land lord was a simple man barely unable to manage such a run down place!
Why wouldn't he look down on him?The land lord was shaking in fear as he took a step backwards, his brow furrowed in anxiety. He knew that he couldn't afford to anger the arrogant young man - who knew what terrible things might happen if he did?
"Please sir, I'm just an old man and I don't want any trouble," stammered the terrified land lord. "I'll give you any single apartment you want - just please don't hurt me!"
But the young master only laughed cruelly, unfazed by the land lord's pleas for mercy. His sneer grew even wider as he approached the trembling man, raising his hand as if to strike him.
"You think a pathetic old fool like you can scare me?" he jeered. "I'll do whatever I want with you - there's nothing you can do to stop me! I want the whole damn apartment!!!"
As he spoke, he reached out and seized the land lord by the throat, making him gasp in terror and panic. The young master seemed intent on destroying him completely, going so far as to show blatant disregard for human life itself.
Zhang Xuan however tapped the young master on the shoulder, with no regard for his presence at all beyond seeing him as an obstacle."Hey. I'm trying to talk to the landlord. I would like to rent out Apartment-"But before Zhang Xuan could even finish his sentence, the young master abruptly whirled around and lashed out at him.
"Get lost! Can't you see that I'm busy here? Who do you think you are, barging in here and interrupting me?" he shouted, his face twisted with rage.
Zhang Xuan simply stared back at him coldly, unfazed by his outburst.
"Listen up. If you want to rent out this apartment, then you'd better listen carefully," he said coolly. "First of all, it doesn't matter who you are or how important you think you are - if I want something, then no one is going to stop me from getting it."
He continued on imperiously, refusing to let the young master get a word in edgewise. The young master could only fume in rage and anger. Right now, someone was talking down to him for the first time in his life.
The rage only an irrelevant side character could muster was raging inside of him like a volcano."Secondly, I don't care what kind of connections or power you have in this city. "How dare you agree with me! I'll tell you, I'm the future owner of this apartment, so if I want to, I'll kick you out of the apartment building, no matter what!" The young master said.
