His girlfriend. His son. And now his work. Floyd lost everything he has. He just wanted a normal life for his family but everything went downhill. Seeing Roxane and Dwayne happily cuddling each other enraged him more. He runs towards their direction. 

“Roxane! Dwayne!” Floyd shouted as he rushed to the couple. 

Roxane's eyes widened when she saw Floyd nearing them. She hides behind Dwayne’s back. Dwayne then immediately signals their bodyguards before Floyd gets near them. The guards stop Floyd and the latter tries to resist. 

“Let me go!” 

“What are you doing?” Dwayne asked in disgust. He looks at the man from head to toe. 

“Roxane!” Floyd stops moving and looks at Roxane. But she was looking away. “Roxane, please. Where is Miguel?” 

“Don’t talk with her! I’m asking you! Didn’t we already fire you? Why are you still here?!” 

Floyd's jaws groaned. He clenched his palms and glared at Dwayne. He tried to approach it again but was immediately blocked by his men.

“You! This is your fault! What did you do to her?! Just because you are rich, huh? Because you are a CEO?!” 

Dwayne's ears perked up at what he heard. “What did you say?! Can’t you stop with your illusion?!” 

“Illusion?! How about you?! Just because you can’t believe the truth, you are firing me? I work hard for this company! I did my best!” 

“I am firing you because you are a danger to everyone! You used Roxane to enter this company! And I am a fool not noticing this under my management. I will make sure that this won’t happen again!” 

“What did you say?” Floyd said in surprise. He looks at Roxane confusedly. The last time he remembers he was the one who helped Roxane enter the company. He has been working himself since he got here. 

Because of Dwayne’s words. Roxane gathered up his courage and looked at Floyd. “Yes! When can you understand that we already broke up? After all these years, Floyd?! Why can’t you move on?!” 

Floyd was unable to speak immediately. He gradually felt pain in his head as if it was being split open. For a moment he felt a shrill sound. He saw sharp and judgmental eyes looking at him. It was as if all of them were judging him by what was happening. This is all wrong.

“W-What do you mean, Roxane? We just celebrated our tenth-year anniversary last week!” Floyd burst into tears. “F-Fine! I won’t care about my job. We already talked about this, right? That you are the one who will work for us now? Just… J-Just please stop this. Come home with Miguel. Don’t do this! I’m begging you! You are my life and our son! I need you both in my life!” 

Roxane gasped. She simply looked at the people around them. She was gradually feeling embarrassed because of Floyd's words. That's why she held Dwayne's arm and tearfully looked at her boyfriend.

“Babe, p-please. Can we go? I-I am afraid that he will not stop. I already told you about him. Y-You said that you will protect me from him.” 

Seeing that Roxane was already terrified, Dwayne immediately pulled her closer to him. “Yes. Don’t worry. I will not let him hurt you again,” he said calmly. Then Dwayne looked at his men. “Stop this nonsense now! This man has lost his mind! Get that man away from this place! I don’t want to see him here again! If you saw him getting near this building, put him in jail!” 

Floyd was stunned. He slowly shook his head as he saw Roxane being hugged by Dwayne. He can’t explain now how hurt he feels right now. “Roxane, please! Don’t do this! You know the truth! Please!” he begs. But Roxane was not even looking at him anymore. 

Dwayne allows Roxane to enter the building. While Floyd was pulled away by Dwayne's men. He still struggled because he still wanted to talk to his girlfriend. But some men were stronger than him and dragged him away and suddenly pushed him to the pavement. He fell there and almost collapsed.

“Don’t come back here anymore!” 

Dwayne went up again and tried to pass the men but he pushed again. Because he didn't stop, a man suddenly punched him. He fell to the floor again. He was about to stand up but he felt several punches and kicks on his body. Floyd did nothing but cry like a child on the floor. He couldn't understand why this was happening to him. All he wanted was to have a happy life with his family. Now, everything is slowly fading from his face. 

Floyd did not know how long the men had been kicking him. He just woke up to someone patting his cheek and calling his name. When he opened his eyes, he saw Trace, his friend who also worked at the company.

“Thanks, God! You are alive!” Trace exclaims as he sees that Floyd is awake. 

Floyd frowned. He looked around and saw that he was in a room that was not familiar to him. He looked at his friend who was sitting beside him. 

“Where am I?” 

Trace sighed and shook his head. “You are in a clinic. You pass out while they are–” He stops when he remembers what happened. “Why did you do that? Are you out of your mind?” 

Floyd sighs and closes his eyes. He feels pain in different parts of his body. It was as if he had been slapped with a hard object on his cheek because it was still numb. He could also taste the blood on the side of his lips. He hasn't even recovered from the beating he received yesterday, but now it happens again. 

“I saw the video. Did you really do it? Tried to stop the engagement?” 

Floyd looks at his friend. “Did you know about it?” 

“No! But didn’t I already tell you about them? I already warned you about your girlfriend but you didn’t listen to me. Now, what will you do, huh? They are engaged, she broke up with you, and now you are fired!” Trace shook his head. “I never hated a woman in my life!” 

Trace knows about the relationship between Floyd and Roxane. He was a friend of Floyd since they started working in the company in the same year. He also helped Floyd to ask their management to hire Roxane. He knows about Roxane’s mischievous doings and tries to tell Floyd. But Floyd was too in love with her. 

“She took Miguel too.” 

“What?!” Trace gasp. He stood up and took a deep breath. “I have been telling you that women are no good to you!” 

Floyd slowly falls down. He could sense the anger in Trace’s voice and he understood why. Most of the people who knew about his relationship with Roxane are telling him to stop. Especially Trace because he's in the same department as Roxane. But he trusted her so much! He never believes that she can hurt him. 

“W-What should I do? Help me, Trace! I-I want my family to be united again.” 

Trace looked at Floyd surprised. He sat down and put his arms to the bed. “Floyd, we can’t do anything now. I can help you deliver a message to Roxane or at least ask her to talk with you. But it is Dwayne Jacinto now that you are fighting with! You know him, right?” 

“But I can’t let this happen to my family!” 

Trace took a deep breath. He saw how devastated his friend was. When he saw him unconsciously on the pavement, it enraged him thinking that it was Roxane’s doing. But what he can do? They both have no name, and only a madman will try to make Dwayne Jacinto as his enemy. 

“You know what, friend? I will try to help you talk with Roxane. But I think you have to start accepting now that it is impossible already. Roxane was an ambitious woman, you know that. She won’t break up with Dwayne Jacinto.” 

Hearing this, Floyd feels a cut on his chest. He still can’t believe that Roxane is doing this. How is he now? How can he continue his life if his family left him already?
