Chapter 10: The 25th Floor

Arthur has successfully entered the gate, he was expecting it to be much different as the previous gate since that was the norm, but this one feels similar, too familiar.

He was inside the library of the old man of the previous gate he went to. "What the heck is going on..." He said before realizing that his clothing's was also changed to the ones that he wore to attend the protest, he was in his navy blue suit.

And he could hear that the library was surrounded. But before he could get out of the building the old man walked up to him.

"You're not gonna keep them waiting aren't you?" The old man asked.

"Who are talking about?" Arthur asked while looking around.

"For god sake, your supporters are outside of this library shouting out your name but you haven't realized it yet?" The old man asked.

Arthur shook his head and slapped both of his own cheeks, "Sorry, I've gotten a bad headache. What do that want?" Arthur asked before sitting down on one of the sofa at the library.

"What else? They want you to help them in actually making a good leadership." The old man said.

[MAKE THE KINGDOM INTO A REPUBLIC, AND HOLD THE FIRST ELECTION!]

Arthur read the system notification and nodded. "Okay, tell them I will be out soon." Arthur said before he sat down again.

"Sure, just make sure to not keep them waiting. Only God knows how long they have been waiting outside.

Arthur dust off the dirt on his clothing and bought a watch from his system shop and put it on. Right after, he walked out of the main door of the library with a smile.

As he came out of the library, about a few hundred people was outside, cheering for him.

Arthur saw one of the newspapers that was lying right beside him ane realized from the date that only a day has passed in this gate, which means that the revolution had only taken place yesterday.

"Yesterday, was only the beginning, today we have a chance to change for the better, for a better country. I propose to the man and woman of this nation, we shall start the first election of this country, whoever who gets the most votes becomes the President, and will be in power for 4 years. While the election is taking place, I shall become the acting President for the time being. I will also be taking part of this election. That is all." Arthur said before throwing a gold coin to one of the carriage cabs. "To the palace of the king!" Arthur said before he departed from the library to the palace.

[YOUR POWER HAS BEEN LIMITED TO THE MAX. ALL STATS HAVE BEEN REDUCED TO 1% OF ITS ORIGINAL STAT. ALL MANA RELATED EQUIPMENTS HAS BEEN BLOCKED FROM THE SYSTEM SHOP FROM THE TIME BEING, ALL MANA RELATED SKILLS HAS ALSO BEEN BLOCKED TEMPORARILY.]

Arthur looked at the system notification and sighed. "This is definitely gonna be a hard mission." Arthur said before the carriage stopped.

"We are here." The person on the horse said.

Arthur got down and saw that the royal guards and knights were waiting for him, well not all of them but there was still quite a number or them here.

In front of them was the captain that Arthur met first, "I heard the news, that you called yourself the acting President and will be holding an election for the people to decide the next leader or President." He said.

"It's true. Are you gonna stop me from entering the palace?" Arthur asked.

"No, I won't. And neither are all the guards and knights here. The loyal to the king ones have all followed the former king to his mansion." The captain replied.

"Hmm, he seems very cooperative." Arthur said as he looked at the captain of the guards and everyone else. "Well then, so why are you here?" Arthur asked wondering why the guards were still here.

"Well, to be honest, after the king left we didn't have any job to do, and we will like to ask if you are hiring?" The captain asked.

"Oh course. But you guys won't be called royal guards or the royal knights, you will be either the national guards or a part of the secret service." Arthur said while entering the gate of the castle.

"In other words, you guys are hired!" Arthur shouted before the guards sighed in relief so they could keep their job.

Arthur then entered the castle and it was empty. He then got out of the castle and ran to the captain.

"Call all of the most educated scholars in the city, say that we are hiring. And get at least a thousand of temporary staff for the election." Arthur said.

"No problem, President. How much will be their salary?" The captain asked.

"One gold coin per year for the scholars and about 50 copper coins for the staff." Arthur said.

"That is a lot of money you are gonna be spending. Are you sure that the previous king even left us with that much of money?" The captain asked.

"The money will be coming out from my pocket." Arthur said before reentering the castle and walked to the throne room of the previous king and saw that the throne was missing.

Arthur started buying chairs tables and everything else to fill up the empty palace.

And it was not much work from Arthur since the palace was already clean to begin with and so that much of work was really not that much.

And even though his stat was limited, in the world that he was in, he could still be regarded as the strongest, but now he has to be careful as wizards amd knights combined might be able to hurt him. And thanks to his stat he was able to move faster and fill up the whole castle faster.

A day has passed and Arthur had been sleeping on the bed tgat he had bought from the system shop only to be awaken from the noise that was approaching him.

Arthur got out of his bed and put the bed inside his inventory and walked outside of the room that he was sleeping in, as he stepped out of the room he could see the captain on the first floor.

From the second floor, Arthur then jumped to the second floor right in front of the captain and the people that were behind him.

As the captain saw Arthur descended from the second floor he gave a slight bow. "Sir, these are the scholars that you told me to hire and the staffs are already working." The captain said.

"Good." Arthur said while looking at the scholars that was behind the captain. "I am sure you guys know why I have brought you here, I want you all to make arrangements for the buildings based on all of these documents." He added while handing to the scholar that was in the front all of the papers that was used to manage the United States Of America.

Although Arthur wanted to use Amerigo's documents, he couldn't find a copy of it in the system shop.

The documents piled up like mountain as Arthur took out all of the documents from his inventory.

"It might take some time to read and understand everything here, but since you are the best in the country, I will have great expectations." Arthur said. "You can use the royal library to read all of tge documents, while all of you do that, I will be doing my job." He added.

The scholars who were picking up the documents nodded and left to the royal library.

"Sir, there are problems that have just come up." The captain said.

"What kind of problems? Is there a protest?" Arthur asked.

"Not a protest, we have heard that the supporters of the king are gonna start a rebellion and attack the castle." The captain said.

"Well, that won't be a problem at all. If they come, I will just fend them off." Arthur replied.

"If only that was their plan... It seems that they have a wizard on their side and they have been secretly planting some magical substance on the floor around the city. The wizards on our side says its some kind of explosion powder. It looks like they have seen everyone who are supporters of you as traitors." The captain said.

"Sigh, now I will have to deal with terrorist attacks... Have any of the guards attempted to dig in further?" Arthur asked.

"No. The rebels are pretty much in a high security compound area. We tried sending in spies yesterday, in a few seconds and we received the head of our spy. They are too strong there." The captain said.

"Where is the place?" Arthur asked.

"It is at Lord Rumples's mansion. It seems that he is leading the rebels. I remember he was a big supporter and friend of the former king." The captain replied. "You aren't planning to try to enter that place aren't you? That place is too dangerous, even for someone as powerful as you." The captain.

"Captain, I know my strengths and weaknesses. Bring me there and I will do everything stealthily." Arthur replied.

"Well, you are the acting President, so I guess that we have to follow your order." The captain said before sighing.

"Damn right. Now drive me near that place." Arthur said.

"Uhh, drive?" The captain asked not knowing what tht means.

"Oh, I forgot. Get me a horse to the Lord's mansion." Arthur said.

"As you wish. We will get you the fastest horse that we have." The captain said as he ran out of the castle to get Arthur the horse.

Arthur then walked out of he castle with the guards that was guarding the place saluting him.

The captain them brought the horse and presented it to Arthur. "Sir, this is the fastest horse I could find in this castle!" The captain shouted.

"But you only spent about a minute searching... how are you so sure that this is the best horses that this castle has to offer?" Arthur asked.

"Uhh, it's the only horse that I could find in this castle.... so technically it is the fastest in this castle..." The captain said while scratching his head.

"Sigh, so the king also took all of the horse and left us one... how cruel." Arthur said before getting on the horse and started riding the horse to the rebel's mansion.

Arthur decided to take the forest instead of the main road to get to the mansion as it will attract less attention.

After an hour, he managed to get to the part of the city where the mansion was and got off the horse.

He then hid behind one of the bushes and got into his system shop. He could only buy items that didn't use mana and so he bought a grappling hook.

He then saw a gun in the system shop and smiled, but before he could click the item to buy it, the system gave him another notification.

[FIND OUT WHO IS BEHIND THE REBELLION! DO NOT MURDER ANYONE.]

"Crap!" Arthur shouted in anger as the system told him that he couldn't use deadly force to complete the mission.

He then bought some other non-deadly weapons and put on his black stealth suit and put all o the equipments in his belt.

Just like how he dealt against the Behemoth Guild members, he was gonna wait till it was dark in the night before starting his attack.

A few hours later and the sun set while the moon rised. However, he saw that the guards that were around the mansion was still very much awake and active and didn't look sleepy at all.

Arthur couldn't attack them head on and so he had to look around. And luckily for him, there were gargoyles on the roof of the building that looked sturdy enough to handle his weight.
