Chapter 7: Let Me Out!

"Get in there!" the follower yelled before kicking the two into the prison cell. The kick comes at Chen Tu and Chen Zigang as a surprise and causes them to tumble inside.

The two finally stop after coming to the end of the prison cell.

This was the second time they were thrown into the dungeon. Surprisingly, it happened not long after coming out from the first one. It's like history is repeating itself.

Unfortunately, this place is filthier compared to the previous dungeon. A pile of bones can even be seen at one of the four corners, heightening the prison cell's creepiness. At another corner is a bundle of feces, likely dumped by the previous resident of this cell.

"Let me out! Let me out!!!" Chen Zigang immediately bangs on the door in a panic. But no matter how loud the noise he's making, nobody made a trip over to check them out. At the very least, the dungeon back in the Chen Family is well-lit and properly ventilated.

Over here, the stench was too strong, to the point it made their mood gloomier.

After a while, Chen Zigang gave up, leaving the task of making noise to Chen Tu. Their attempt to get people's attention continued until both of them were too tired. Soon, they sat on the only clean spot inside the prison cell.

"I'll make sure to kill everyone here after getting out. These thugs will have to prepare themselves to swallow my wrath." Chen Zigang said. He didn't continue shouting or screaming but mumbling the sentence to himself.

As for Chen Tu, he stays quiet, feeling that there's something odd inside this cave. This impression was the same as when he struggled to escape Chen Manor five years ago.

...

...

In the meantime, the battle outside is reaching its climax.

These thugs had no idea about the origin of these attackers. All they could see is these people were all peak-level experts in the Body Tempering Layer. The swordsmanship, formation, and void of speech somewhat explained how trained these people were.

For these thugs, the struggle is futile. Even the leader that came a little later was killed in a slash before making any offensive remarks.

Soon, these thugs were all dead. To ensure none of them lives after today, these attackers dressed in complete black attire decapitate the head from the body.

The corpses were piled together before half of the attackers charged inside, killing all the survivors they could find. Except for those locked inside the dungeon, none were spared, regardless of gender and age.

It might sound ruthless, but this was necessary to uproot this underground organization completely. They couldn't take the bet and trust that the young, old, and women wouldn't retaliate in the future.

As the wise elder says, being kind to the enemy meant being cruel to themselves.

Such ruthlessness was necessary.

Soon, these people dressed in black arrive at the dungeon holding Chen Tu and Chen Zigang. The door into the cell was unlocked, and they were rescued.

To their surprise, another elder is inside the cell beside theirs. He could be said to be blended into the surroundings to the point the two didn't realize his existence until he moved.

Everyone was taken out of this cavern and released. To those unlucky people, they were taken to somewhere else. The elder was one of those who obtained his freedom, and he was gone in a blink of an eye. This made even those people dressed in black wonder if they were mistaken.

While the other was released, Chen Tu and Chen Zigang were taken into a different room, where a few chests were stacked together, totaling up to nine.

"Why are you taking us here?" Chen Zigang stood forward and asked. As the boss, he couldn't allow Chen Tu to stand in front, right?

"Enough acting." the leader of these people said and took off the mask covering his face. His voice was so familiar, as the two had just talked to him in the Chen Family's dungeon last night.

"Seventh uncle!" Chen Zigang plunged himself into Chen Tian Lang's chest and hugged him. Honestly speaking, he was about to be scared to the point he peed in his pants. After all, this was the first time they were kidnapped.

Nope. Instead of being kidnapped, it's more accurate to say that the brats delivered themselves into the tiger's den.

If Chen Tian Peng was a little unconcerned, these two would likely vanish from this Crimson Cloud County.

"Afraid? I can't wait to see how you'll face your dad after we get home. Be prepared to have your buttock spanked until you can't even sit down with it." Chen Tian Lang pinched Chen Zigang's cheeks out of anger.

At the same time, his other hand flicked Chen Tu's forehead as a lesson for following Chen Zigang and his whimsical decisions.

The flicking throws Chen Tu to lie flat with his back on the ground. Although no Spiritual Power was used in that flick, the physical strength of Chen Tian Lang alone is more than enough to send Chen Tu flying.

After all, the strength of a cultivator above the Body Tempering Layer cannot be underestimated.

"Hehe... Uncle, can we grab something from the treasure chest?" Chen Zigang rubbed his palms together and asked for his uncle's permission to inspect the boxes with precious goods inside.

"Grab? Do you think that your father will say alright?" Chen Tian Lang clenches his teeth and fiercely stares at the two. Their ears were caught by the seventh uncle before they could escape.

With a hand on an ear, Chen Tian Lang brought the two and returned to the Crimson River Town. Needless to say, the other subordinates followed with the goods collected from the cavern.

Surprisingly, the "thing" that gave Chen Tu a special impression was kept inside one of the treasure chests.

But as they finally returned to the Chen Manor, the two were again tossed into the family dungeon to repent and behave.

"LET ME OUT!!!" Chen Zigang bangs on the door again. If this continues, he will have consecutively entered the dungeon for three days!
