Chapter 5: Facts Revealed

"That's right, Sir! The dark grey card is called the titanium card, issued by Royal Bank, a subsidiary of Consortium, which is based in one of the countries in Europe. The card can be used in approximately 1,500 companies and has been accepted in 150 countries," the woman immediately resumed speaking.

"Its use is not limited to the amount of withdrawal or debit when shopping. The card can also be used for payment at millions of merchants and ATM cash withdrawals worldwide."

Irene paused to take a breath, then resumed her explanation, "The second card is the black premium card. HSBC issued it. At first, it only functions as a charge card. But for the master, there is an exception. In this country, only five people hold a titanium card. One of them is you. While the black card, there are only seven people. And even then, there are different balances."

"The cardholder with the highest balance is currently you," said Irene, ending her explanation.

The situation then became silent for a moment.

"It turns out I'm a descendant of a rich man," Killian murmured but was heard by Irene.

"That's right, young master! You are the sole heir of the Spencer family. You are the only living grandchild of the great lord. It's a very long story, Sir. But from this short conversation, you can deduce who you are. The great lord would very much like to meet you, Sir. But at the moment, his physical condition no longer allows him to travel far," said the woman, who was also happy.

"So, who runs the old man's company?" asked Killian curiously.

"So far, and my cousin, Isaac Adler, who runs the giant Spencer Group. He serves as the general manager there. We are both confidants of Mr Spencer himself," Irene replied proudly.

"To remind you, Sir. The giant Spencer Group is a multi-business enterprise specialising in various fields. These include mining, gold, coal, nickel and petroleum, banking, property, trade in goods and services, retail, hotels, hospitals, restaurants, urban development, land, sea and air transport, entertainment and much more."

"The Spencer Group has hundreds of subsidiaries across Greater Birmingham and the country. In Birmingham alone, seven subsidiaries are operating in various fields. Sir, you can check them one by one later," Irene said casually.

"In this Birmingham, you must have heard of Daylight Town. It's an area developed by the great lord Spencer for the young lord. It's not far from this city. It has five large restaurants and dozens of smaller ones. One of the most exclusive ones, where not just anyone can enter, is the Bless' Restaurant."

"There are also four 5-star hotels and dozens of 4-star and below hotels. Offices, thousands of shops for rent, and hundreds of well-known shops sell various world-class products under the young master's name."

"In that city, there is also a very famous villa. Only certain people can live there. The villa is on top of a lovely hill, with a direct view of the city, the sea, and the hilly green landscape. One of the largest and grandest villas, located amidst the other villas, measuring 2,000 metres, with a land area of about 4,000 square metres, belongs to young master Spencer."

"The villa faces east, directly towards the city centre. To its right, it faces the sea with its clear water, equipped with excellent facilities. It can be said that the entire town and its buildings belong to the young master. Because the shareholding is held 100% by you and in your name."

"For more details. Please visit your grandfather in London. It just so happens that he misses you after more than a dozen years of disappearance," Irene said, ending her brief explanation.

Killian was, of course, stunned to hear all the stories. For him, such beautiful things only happen in fairy tales.

But after a long time of thinking. Killian began to remember who he was, but it was still vague because all his old memories had not fully recovered.

"If you allow me. I'd like to see that necklace you're wearing, Sir," Irene said pleadingly.

"Oh, of course. But just a moment! What do you want to see it for?" asked Killian doubtfully.

"Sir, just let me see it. I'll return it afterwards," Irene replied calmly.

Killian hurriedly took off the necklace he had been wearing and gave it to Irene. He trusted what she would do. While Irene observed the chain, Killian's mind flew everywhere until it came to the memories of when he was still Julietta's husband.

After a while, Irene looked at Killian's necklace. She opened a small box from inside her bag, made of beautifully carved teak wood, and opened it. A second later, Irene took out the contents.

Killian was shocked by what he saw. A necklace similar to his own came out of the wooden box.

Irene immediately pressed the small buttons on each side of the necklace. Suddenly the ends of the two chains opened, and Irene immediately put them together.

"Wow, it's a match!" said Irene happily when the two necklaces fused, revealing a mystery name.

"That means my guess was right, and my search has not been in vain," Irene rejoiced.

"Young master Killian Martino Spencer. The only son of Mr Zimmer Spencer and Mrs Jenna, grandson of the great master Miguel Spencer. I have finally found you," the woman said firmly.

"What! So I have a surname too? I thought it was just Killian," exclaimed the amazed Killian.

"That's right, Sir! Your middle and last name is Martino Spencer," Irene responded.

"I still don't understand all that. Give me some time," Killian replied, confused.

"I will accompany you, Sir, whenever you need me. Since I was assigned to be your companion," Irene replied calmly.

A moment later, the woman asked a question with some concern, "If I may know. Who has seen the necklace, Sir?"

"Only Grandpa Smith. But he's dead now," Killian replied innocently.

"What about your wife, sir?" asked Irene for confirmation.

"We are divorced. She is now my ex-wife," Killian replied.

"Oh, I'm sorry, sir," said Irene as if in condolence.

"My ex-wife never knew that I had that necklace all this time," said Killian.

"Why is that?" asked the woman in confusion.

It all happened because of more than a year of marriage with her. Julietta never allowed Killian to touch her. So, their marriage only exists on paper and only on status.

Killian is also very close to Julietta. He rarely communicated with Julietta in private. They also don't sleep in the same bed as the royal family.

Julietta slept in a big, nice room. At the same time, Killian slept in the back room, which deserved to be called a warehouse. Precisely that's what happened and was experienced by Killian.

"With this, there is no longer any doubt about your identity, sir," Irene said.

"This very day, your great name will be restored and recorded in the great lord Miguel Spencer family as the sole rightful heir to the Spencer family business. Welcome, and congratulations, young master," Irene said with a respectful bow.

"To be honest, I still can't accept this fact, Miss Adler," came the rejection response from Killian, who was still in denial about himself.

"Young master, you should not call me to miss. I am your subordinate, your assistant. I don't deserve such an honourable call. So please, call me Irene, or my surname is Adler," Irene rebutted modestly.

"All right then. From now on, I'll call you Iro. Do you agree?" asked Killian with a smile.

"As you wish, sir," Irene replied shyly, then continued her sentence bluntly, "Sir, you are certainly hungry and thirsty. Let's eat at a restaurant not far from here."

Without answering whether he agreed, Killian stood up from his seat and made his way to the restaurant.

"Sir! Do you want to walk? The restaurant is about 800 metres away. Are you sure?" interrupted Irene, who intercepted the man in front of her.

"So?" asked Killian in surprise.
