Chapter 7: VVIP Guests

"M-mister Piere! Are you not wrong to bow your head to this man?" asked Stella, still in disbelief.

"Shut up!"

Instead of an answer, she received a stern scolding. Stella was so embarrassed to have an employee who was not polite to an essential customer in front of her.

Throughout his career as president and director of a well-known bank, 70% owned by the Spencer Group, where Irene worked. It was Pierre's first time he had the opportunity to meet a significant person from the Spencer Group.

On top of that, today, the Spencer Group's sole heir came to visit the bank that was arguably his. He had slapped Stella's face so hard that it would probably be swollen. Her beauty is gone.

With tears in her eyes, Stella still dared to come forward to complain because it was she who was yelled at instead of Killian. But before she could ask. Piere yelled at her again, which made Stella surprised.

A moment later, Piere slowly said softly while holding back his anger, "Do you know who he is? He is Mr Spencer, a person you should not offend. You understand!"

Stella's body shivered to hear that explanation. As a professional who had been in banking for quite some time. Stella certainly knew the customers who came to the bank where she worked.

One of the most respected and feared by all employees, including the Chairman of the Royal Bank, was Mr Spencer. Stella knew who Mr Spencer was. No one dared to deal with him.

His company's assets were rumoured to be in the trillions of euros. In a minute, a single word from him could bankrupt a family or a company that opposed him.

His best men are scattered all over the country. Even the country's most potent gangsters bow down and work for him. Their bodyguards are the chosen ones. They are selected from various disciplines and skills.

Thousands of bodyguards come from world-renowned martial arts colleges. Some are retired soldiers or those still active but chose to leave their unit and work for him.

Thousands of bodyguards come from renowned temples, master various skills and lethal moves with bare hands, and are experts with weapons.

Their existence has made the Spencer Group, headed by Mr Miguel Spencer, a company with worldwide power. No one does not bow down and cringe at the sound of his name.

Let alone the haughty and arrogant Stella. Her career was over. In just a matter of minutes, her existence would disappear. And so would the four arrogant guards.

In another place, the four bodyguards or guards who had dealt with Killian earlier were also shivering with fear after seeing how a president director of a well-known bank in Birmingham humbled himself and was so respectful to the person they called a beggar.

"We're finished," they screamed in despair.

"All four of you are sacked! Pack your things. I've already contacted the city authorities to keep you there," snapped Chairman Piere.

The four security guards came stumbling towards Killian after hearing those words. Then they held his feet, begging for mercy so they would not be fired and reported to the city authorities.

"Sir! Whoever you are, please forgive us. We were wrong, and we acted stupidly. Our behaviour was silly, thinking as if we didn't know the height of the sky. We promise we won't be so arrogant again. Please forgive us!" they said in unison, begging for forgiveness.

Killian, who was treated like that, stepped back, not wanting to listen to their babbling. The man preferred to finish his business at the bank quickly. But before Killian took a step, he glanced at Stella with a sad expression.

Piere, who saw the gesture, understood enough that Killian wanted more action on the arrogant manager.

"From today, you are also fired without severance pay. Pack your things, and take your salary and monthly bonus for this month," Piere firmly ordered while stepping away and continuing to accompany Killian to enter.

The people inside the bank were all silent. Although they did not know who Killian was, the existence of the bank's president, who walked beside Killian, signalled that a man like Killian was not an ordinary person.

A president alone was so respectful to the shabbily dressed man, plus there was a small tear in his sleeve due to being pulled by the guards earlier, But the aura he gave off made the people who looked at him made bow, with a look of horror. As a result, they also bowed their heads towards Killian in a respectful manner.

No one was not subdued, seeing that incident. Although in people's hearts, they wondered, who could the person walking beside the president be? His clothes did not depict him as a rich man or an important person in Birmingham. But why did Piere respect him so much?

"Never mind, there's no point in thinking about it," they thought.

In the meantime, Killian had arrived at Piere's spacious and clean study. As soon as they entered, the man invited Killian to sit on the sofa while he walked towards the office intercom to call someone.

Piere immediately called for the bank manager to come in with a stern, "Immediately to my office. Now!"

As soon as she got the call from the unusual bank president, the bank manager hurriedly came, fulfilling her CEO's call.

As she entered, the bank president was seen standing beside his desk, with his hands intertwined. It looked like he was holding a small silver-grey object. His demeanour was respectful towards Killian.

The bank manager was surprised to see that scene, but she was afraid to ask, so she kept quiet.

"Who is he? Why is the Chairman so humble in front of him," the bank manager thought to herself.

"Miss Sophie! Please check this card," the Chairman asked politely.

Manager Sophie looked down at Chairman Piere without replying. But she rushed over and picked up the card. Then she inserted the card into the card detector on the Chairman's desk.

The card detector, which the president rarely used, lit up in green as soon as the manager inserted the card into it—a sign requesting verification from the cardholder.

Chairman Piere took the device and gave it to Killian politely. As soon as Killian entered his password, the machine lit up in yellow, asking the bank manager to enter his bank code to open the application completely.

Once the bank manager entered the code, a significant number appeared with many digits and zeros. Sophie stepped back, almost dropping the card detector she was holding.

On the device was the number EUR. 36.528.000.000.

"I... I... this is amazing!" shouted Sophie's bank manager in surprise.

He heard the absurd words from his manager. Chairman Piere was curious and looked at the numbers on his card reader.

"What! Is it that much?" he shouted without hiding his surprise.

"Mr Spencer! Please accept our respect," without being commanded, President Piere bowed 90 degrees back towards Killian, followed by the bank manager named Sophie.

They dared not be impolite or offend the critical guest in front of them at that moment. In their hearts, there were only words of amazement and fear. They faithfully waited for what Killian would say.

"Disburse my stash of 100k euros. I need it now," Killian said, startling them.

"Hurry up and fulfil our important guest's request," the Chairman ordered as if to get Killian's attention.

"Immediately, sir," the bank manager replied nervously; then, she hurriedly left the room.

On Killian's side, he was also incredulous and amazed when he heard the balance on his ATM card was so much. But he chose to remain silent, even though he was excitedly cheering.

"You guys over there. Wait for my revenge!" he said vengefully.
