The Next Match
Before the day had ended, Cian left Ruriko's house at a late hour, giving his farewells to both Ruriko and Mia before he left.

Cian felt that Ruriko became more open and genuine with him as they talked, making him feel a bit satisfied besides the fact that he was able to get the weapon without doing anything special.

He went home shortly as Magi greeted him at the entrance of the headquarters despite it being past midnight.

He was waiting there, leaning against the door of the headquarters, his arms crossed and his eyes looking dead straight at Cian as he walked near.

“...”

Cian stopped right before him, yet Magi didn't greet him. It was but a short moment of silence as each of them looked at the other.

As seconds passed, Cian slowly lost his composure, becoming impatient as he stomped. Perhaps Magi was asleep with his eyes open, but he was sure that he is conscious.

“Oi! I'm here. What's the silent treatment for?” Cian exclaimed.

“——You smell like her now. That Ruriko woman.” Magi
