83. Death

Aaron went back to his apartment, the doctors had begged him to go home, especially since he hadn't slept in three days since heading to the hospital. In those 3 days, he saw Alastair once when the doors briefly opened, his wife was bedridden and in pain and yet. He was unable to hold her or comfort her. "Tch." He sighed.

Stepping into the shower, Aaron turned on the water, feeling it cascade down his back and over his head.

As the warm stream enveloped him, he couldn't help but let his mind wander to a multitude of plans he had brewing in his mind, plans to destroy Von and Alastair, decimate Elizabeth, and even dismantle Salisbury.

Yet, amongst all these thoughts, when he thought about his wife, he couldn't shake the feeling of doubt creeping in.

He resolved to take a nap soon and then return to the hospital once more, hoping for any news about her condition.
