Chapter 48: The thing on the wall

She was frightened at first by the sudden appearance of the ancient demon but the moment she saw his wound that wasn't healing she sighed out her fear. A glint of curiosity sparkled in her eyes as she fixated her gaze on his injury. She figured that it had everything to do with the fight with the prince but he was supposed to heal, yet he wasn't.

"Zora what is going on?" Ari spoke from the other side, she was the only one who could hear her through the necklace. She broke off the connection which caused the necklace to stop glowing.

"How do you know the name Davina?" Irwin asked in a gravelled and pain wrecked voice. He was in deep pain and his demon was creeping its way up to the surface.

Zora adjusted her countenance to appear nonchalant. "You don't look too good and you could die." She said with no care in the world. Irwin's breath was heavy and despite his red eyes she could feel the fear he haboured now. Her lips twitched as she went through her mind for the best way to put him
