CHAPTER THIRTY

After he finished dressing up, he walked downstairs in a hurry, then Eliza called him after seeing him pass in a hurry as she was at the dining table waiting for him.

“Aren’t you eating? You still have about a few minutes until the meeting. You will be tired,” she said, smiling at him. The woman was willing to try everything she could to get him back.

She didn’t even mind his earlier comments. She was still trying her best to get into his good books.

“I don’t think I will manage Eliza. I will be late and I would not want to keep them waiting. Those old people already hurt me for some reason. I don’t want to give them more reason to think I’m wasting their time,” he said, looking at his wristwatch.

“Then let me pack the food for you, you will eat it once you have some break from work. If that is okay with you?” She spoke as she stood waiting for him.
