1: THE BULLIED

The monsters' roaring and creaking voices could be heard. Blood splattered the ground, with intestines and people's heads rolling around as monsters devoured the dead bodies. Hero slid his sword, killing the monsters around him. He continuously kills every monster that attacks him. Everyone was killed, including his sister; their limbs and intestines emerged from within their bodies. It was all his friends. Died at the hands of monsters while attempting to defend themselves and fight against higher-ranked monsters.

He jumps backward and lands on top of a bus near the area. A swarm of Bonewraith flying monsters is heading toward him. He dropped his sword and stared at the monsters flying towards him. He kneeled and gasped for air, staring fiercely at the monsters.

"I give up," he muttered and closed his eyes, looking down. "I can't fight anymore. I am surrounded. The Queen had already called for backups to protect her and her eggs. How could I be able to fight them alone? Fvck it!" he added, blowing a fist at the bus out of frustration.

He opened his eyes and take the final bomb from his pocket. "Yeah right, I won't let myself be killed by the hands of monsters, you piece of shit! Come and get me! Be burned with me!" Hero yelled at the monsters, gritting his teeth still holding the bomb from his right hand.

When the monsters got closer to Hero, a creaking sound could be heard as the Bonewraith monster tried to reach his head, he opened the bomb, crushing his body and burning the flying monsters. At the same time, blue lightning flashed from Hero's body.

Right after that, a raging storm swept in and flooded the area, wiping out all monsters. A pendant around Hero's neck was slowly cracking until it blew and glowed like blue lightning. It was not the end; a new beginning was about to begin. Rewinding to the Earth year 5060, when the dilemma first emerged.

Hero opened his eyes as he felt a pain in his stomach and touched it. He vomits blood while looking at the ground. Someone was knocking him off! A few boys were kicking and punching him on the roof of their school building. "What now, Hero? Give me your money or I will touch your sister," the one with blue hair says, grinning as Hero wipes the blood from his mouth.

Hero stared at the ground, trying to process what was happening. He lifts his head to look at the five high school boys staring at him. Someone was smoking and staring at him. "What are you looking at, huh?" the smoker says. Hero turned to look at the blue-haired student in front of him still touching his stomach as the pain still didn't vanish.

"What? Are you trying to fight against me, huh?" the blue-haired says, punching Hero in the face, causing his body to fly away and roll on the ground, making him moan in pain. He already had a lot of bruises and wounds. He looked at his body and noticed that he was very thin, as if he hadn't eaten for days.

He helped himself and took the money out of his pocket. "Here, take the money and leave," Hero said, and the students grinned as they aggressively took the money.

"Hey, thank you, loser!" the blue-haired guy says before smacking him in the head again, causing him to touch it and see blood.

"What the fvck," he cursed as he sat on the ground, looking out at the city in front of him, which was busy with its daily activities. "I was transported in time. I bet the monsters will invade the world one month from now. I only have one month left," he muttered, looking at his hands. He cursed once more, throwing a small stone in front of him.

The bell rings, indicating that it is time for students to go home. He stood up and looked down to see the students running and laughing with their friends. They had no idea what dilemma would arise after a month. Hero focused his attention on three girls speaking loudly, one of whom was his sister, who smiled and held a piece of paper.

Peitho was known for her intelligence and beauty; she is famous, whereas Hero is a loser who is constantly bullied by his classmates. Hero chose to step down and go straight to their apartment. He had work to do right now, but since all of his money in the bank is already enough to feed them for a month before the monsters invade the world, he decides to strengthen himself and prepare for the upcoming battle. He didn't try to tell everyone and kept it to himself because he know they wouldn't believe him anyway.

Hero equipped himself with a workout clothes as he decided to jog this afternoon until evening. Peitho was about to head inside however, she was shock to see her brother seriously tying his rubber shoes. "Where are you heading, brother?" Peitho asks as she removes his school shoes and put his bag in a box. The apartment they lived in is small but enough to accomodate for two people.

"I won't be home tonight, lock the doors and eat. I’ll come back tomorrow morning, keep safe." Right after Hero speaks, he jog from the door of their house and continue to ran away leaving Peitho behind, confused to her brother’s behavior.

Five times a week, Hero would always go to the gym and jog every morning and afternoon. Peitho was surprised to see her brother eat more than before. She could literally see how Hero's body gradually change making her smiles as she finally saw his brother taking care of himself.

A month has passed, and Hero has continued to go to the gym, jog, and perform other exercises. He also consumes proteins and other foods that can help his body regain weight. He felt something in his body after exercising, which was not the case a month ago. His body was so thin that the wind could carry him away with the flick of a finger. And now that his body has changed, he is a completely different person.

Hero was now sitting in the park, sweating. He was drinking water and watching people walk down the street. Moments later, a group of five students approaches him, carrying a stick and a bat. His brow furrowed; it was Amon and his underlings. "Ah, you're making yourself stronger so you could beat us, huh? I have been trying to find you in a month as my money isn't enough anymore for gambling. Now that I found you, gave us money, Heroes of losers," Amon says as he points his bat at Hero's face.

Hero stood up and pass through Amon making his eyes widen and gritted his teeth in anger. He wanted to hit Hero at the head of his back but Hero was able to sense it, he avoided the attack and turn to face Amon to punch him in the face so hard making him blown away and sleep. "Get out of my sight, I have no time to waste," Hero speaks coldly.

When Amon's underlings saw Hero punch their leader in the face, they ran forward and attempted to attack him, but Hero dodged all of their attacks. He took the bat from the other man after punching him in the face and swung it at the two men, causing them to be hit in the stomach. Hero grabbed the other man's hand and delivered a headbutt, causing his blood to run through his nose and put him to sleep. He hit the other man with a baseball in his stomach again causing him to vomit blood. One more punch and he fall asleep. The other left behind collapsed and couldn't believe what he saw; he crawled away from him, crying, and was able to get up and flee.

Hero throw away the baseball bat leaving the men behind sleeping in the ground causing people to shock and amazed at the same time after seeing Hero fight. He clenches his fist as he was walking away from them and drew a smile on his face. "This is enough for the first wave," he said and stopped when he heard a bombing around the area. His eyes widen and look at his watch.

"Sh.t, it is still 1 in the afternoon. The monsters are now invading the city? If I remember correctly, the monsters will attack at exactly 3 in the afternoon!" he muttered and ran as fast as he could towards their apartment, while others fled in the opposite direction. When he arrived at their apartment, a monster appeared in front of him, making him grit his teeth. Fortunately, soldiers showed up and attacked the spider monster with their guns, allowing Hero to get back to their room.

He is only a few steps away from their room when he hears a scream, which he believes is his sister's voice and causes him concern. He opened the door quickly, gasping for air as his eyes continued to widen in surprise. Peitho was able to kill the Bonewraith, a small flying monster, with a knife in the kitchen. He felt relieved when he learned that his sister was safe. Peitho felt his presence, so she stood up and was about to walk toward her brother when a monster appeared behind Hero.

"Brother! Look behind you!" Peitho yelled, and when Hero turn around to look at, he was stunned to see a monster that looked exactly like a human staring at him with its pitch black eyes. It unleashes a swarm of tentacles with sharp edges from its body that attack Hero at once causing his eyes widen.
